Rookie QB Erik Gaare expected to move to RB for the Dallas Birddogs Yesterday was a night to remember for the ex-Buffalo Erik Gaare. The young quarterback from the University of Colorado finally got to hear his name called by the commissioner when, with the 20th overall pick (4th in the third round) the Dallas Birddogs announced their pick.
Gaare was at his family home in Boulder and the emotions ran high as his name was announced. The young man was crying as he was on the phone with the Birddogs GMs @Kyamprac and @r0tzbua the people responsible for making his dream come true. He soon got to meet his teammates and was pretty well received at their locker room, one filled with amazing players and people.
Today, however, the party is over, and the focus need to be on a new season that is fast approaching. The Birddogs have a lot of work to do to get back in the playoffs, and one move that will hopefully help with that is the position switch for Erik Gaare, who will be part of the RB rotation in Dallas.
Dallas QB situation is settled right now with Joliet Christ Jr. being the absolute starter of the team. Erik Gaare was aware of that and knew the moment the call came that the team would find a way of utilizing his skill in another part of the field.
The Birddogs should rely on a strong defense to make a run at the playoffs this year, but before the draft the offense could be seen as lackluster. The team heavily invested this year on offense with their first picks and hopes to have revamped the unity for the foreseeable future. With the Birddogs star from the last few seasons, Cobra Kai, now wearing Honolulu colors, a huge hole has been created in the backfield, one that Erik wants to fill.
“This organization deposited a lot of faith in me by drafting me where they did, and I have always said that my love for the sport is much bigger than my love for any single position. They are getting the best RB in this draft, believe that” said the young man during his press conference alongside his season 27 class draftees.
Being an athletic and scrambler QB, Erik should have little to no problem switching to his new position. He had just south of 3,000 yards rushing during his college career and holds the record for most rushing yards by a QB for his school.
The current RB situation at Dallas has Latvian power back Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms as the feature back, but his style could be very well accompanied by a speedster to share the load with. Dallas is expected to give Gaare his chance of making the plays and hopes he can develop his hands to be a reliable pass catcher from the backfield.
Erik will begin training camp in his new facility with a lot of thing to do; a lot of friends to make, a new playbook to learn; a lot of respect to gain and a whole new position to master. But as of now, there is only one think in the young man’s mind: Getting Dallas the Ultimini they deserve.

I imagine the conversation between management and Gaare went something like this:
"Hey, we already have an entrenched QB, but we really could use a Running Back. Also, take a look at our RB production numbers over the last four-five seasons. Dallas is a RB factory. If you want to basically always be a first ballot RBotY contender, we can make that happen."
All joking aside, I hope that running back treats you well!
