S27 Rules Summit Results - iStegosauruz - 01-28-2021 The S27 ISFL Rules Summit has recently come to a close. GMs, Head Office members and Department Heads were encouraged to submit proposed changes to the rulebook and league procedure. With 21 voting members (14 teams, 5 HO members, 1 league owner, and 1 simmer), 15 votes were needed for a proposal to pass. Below is the full list of proposed rule changes and the final voting results for each. 1. Move the extension period open date from season open to trade deadline. 8 For - 13 Against Rule Does NOT Pass 2. Contract TPE Changes ![]() 15 For - 6 Against Rule Passes 3. VIII. C. 3. Agent costs will no longer be $10 million a season; instead agent costs will be an initial fee of $10 million for a license, followed by a payment of $3 million per season to renew their license until the agent creates a player in the league. 12 For - 9 Against Rule Does NOT Pass 4. VIII. C. 6. Agents must be in the league for 2 full seasons prior to becoming eligible to become an agent. To meet this time requirement, individuals do not have to create a player but simply have to be an active user on the forums. 13 For - 8 Against Rule Does NOT Pass We also conducted a special rules summit addressing some issues impacting both the DSFL and ISFL. With 34 voting members (14 ISFL teams, 8 DSFL teams, 5 ISFL HO members, 4 DSFL HO members, 1 league owner, and 2 simmers), 24 votes were needed for a proposal to pass. Once again, only 34 voting members cast a ballot this year. That brings the number of votes needed for the 70% threshold to 24. Below is the full list of proposed rule changes and the final voting results for each. 1. HO does not vote on player awards. HO retains the right to vote on GMotY and MDM as they are user awards. 26 For - 8 Against Rule Passes 2. Abolish Awards 9 For - 25 Against Rule Does NOT Pass 3. Awards Committee nominates GMOTY 10 For - 24 Against Rule Does NOT Pass 4. Fullback Awards ![]() Option 1 - 15 for Option 2 - 11 for Option 3 - 2 for Option 4 - 6 for Rule Passes - 26 votes for: one fullback will be inducted to the Pro Bowl from each conference. 5. If a rule proposal is voted down, it cannot be added to the ballot again the following rules summit. 9 For - 25 Against Rule Does NOT Pass 6. Position Change Overhaul ![]() 12 For - 22 Against Rule Does NOT Pass Code: ISFL Rule 2 passes. Rule 2 will be added to the rulebook and will go into effect during the off-season.
