*Let's talk about podcasts - Tayjay - 03-04-2021

Making money isn't necessarily easy. If you don't have a job you are limited to casino, twitter, fantasy, written media, graphics, or podcasts. So why is it that podcasts take sooooo damn long to get graded. I get that they take longer to grade then other types of media but 4 podcasts have been sitting in the queue for almost two weeks. There are 168 hours in a week. 336 in 2 weeks. I think that is pretty unacceptable for getting podcasts graded. Considering a 5th got added to the queue who knows how long that will take. How can I expect to get paid out on something to buy my last tiers of equipment if I have to wait half a season to get paid. I get that things take time but a lot of us grind to make ends meet, so when we do something to make money I expect people that are being paid to do a job to get it done within a timely matter. If the grading team is in such dire straits then hire someone based on per pod pay to help. You can even call it the PPP program. If I do a podcast in the next couple days is it going to be graded before equipment is no longer able to be purchased? I just want to know a general timeline on when podcasts get graded because right now it doesn't seem like there is one.

Sloth-"The GOAT podcast grader"-facekilla stepped down from that position, so that's probably why. He's the GOAT

Let's see here. You posted your podcast on 2/23. You wrote this on 3/4. That's 9 days. There is historically a week or so grace period on getting things graded. It's true, your podcast is overdue by a day or two before you wrote this. So your "two weeks" is a little extreme. People have real lives and things happen where they get busy and can't get to listening to a podcast or two, to which I'm sorry for.

This was spoken about already in our grader discord, before you even posted this actually. It should be graded over the weekend. Thank you for your patience.

It was also looking at the 3 podcasts before ours that were at the 2 week mark. Ours wasn't there yet but I was looking at the other pods that hadn't been graded as well even though ours was only at a week and a half. I know it's not easy and life happens. I just don't see these problems in the PBE and we have more podcasts there, so that was my point.

I just wish you'd get a bonus if you post the transcript of the episode. Some people don't love podcasts, but would happily read what people have to say. I write transcripts for mostly all my podcasts, and would make way more sticky cheddar if I just posted it as a media article. I definitely don't do a podcast for the money, but a little bonus for the transcripts would be a nice touch.

But I don't wanna post a boring article, I want to record myself SPEAKING an article, then spend 3 hours editing it so it sounds nice. That way I'll be sure no one will listen to it. :kekw:
