(S29) PT 3 - Teammates
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. Graphic responses must show more effort than a text box on an unedited image.

Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S29 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, June 13, at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!

Written option: Half of the season is already over, and no matter how your team has done this season, there is always standout players/users. Pick a standout teammate that has been doing well this season. Whether it has been through their performance on the field this season or through their impact in the locker room, this is your chance to say something nice about a teammate that you want to recognize.

Graphic option: Make a graphic that shows one of your teammates shining, whether on the field during a game or somewhere off the field. Lots of different choices here, so some freedom is there.

Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affliate PT matches with the week of this point task.

Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please.

Sarasota is the best team in either division so far this season with only 1 loss, so I'm sure I get a pass here because there is no way I'm just talking about 1 of my teammates especially when I have an ample opportunity to mention just how well our team is doing on every front this season.

First off, the exceptional special teams, well besides myself, of course, Tre'Darius J'Vathon just one of our great return men, has the 4th best kick return distance so far this season and is looking like a possible Returner of the Year nominee.

In the offense, Mike Boss Jr has the highest completion percentage, most TDs, and highest QB rating among all QBs. And our other offensive big dogs like Chizuru Ichinose, who has the 2nd most rushing yards this season, and James Angler who has the 2nd most touchdowns and 6th longest touchdown. And 2 members of the Sailfish Offensive line, Stumpy Jones and Running Back, are in the top 15 linemen this season keeping Boss safe and giving Ichinose room to run, All five players really good reasons why we are so successful so far this season.

And lastly, the Sailfish defense which has stars like Michael Witheblock, who has sacked opposing QBs 8 times this season, putting him tied for 2nd in the league, and Harrison Andrews whose 2nd most in the league 3 INTs have QBs who face us handing the ball off instead of passing, and the team overall in the fumble department are absolutely one of the best in the league with the 3rd most Forced Fumbles and the 2nd most Fumble Recoveries.

A great team with great players like these don't deserve to just have one mentioned.

Oh Captain, my Captain where would be without thee. Jacob Small has been a primary producer on the Sarasota Sailfish I believe he is the points leader on the team. He is currently 33 of 34 for extra points made and his field goal percentage has had some falters, but Jacob Small is perfect from within 40 yards. Which is what you need. So far Small has made 1 field goal within twenty yards, eight field goals in the range of twenty to twenty-nine yards and has eight field goals on eight attempts from the thirty to thirty nine yard line. Now we get to kicks in the range of forty to forty-nine yards where small has faltered a bit. He has five of eight attempts for kicks that are of that distance and is two for five for kicks that are fifty yards or greater. Nailing a fifty-five yard kick. Needless to say, He’s still pumping out the points offensively and is dependable within forty yards.

I want to positively hype up someone specifically from the sarasota defense, but everyone is popping off and they really are playing off each other this season. Starting out with Michael Withablock leading the league in sacks with eleven who has clearly been positively enabled by Ed Lover 2nd on the team in tackles with sixty-five .    who has really popped off in performance this year on defense has been. Our secondary has also popped off having two of the league leaders in interceptions with Harrison Andrews and Cuco Clemente each with five which is probably due to our cornerbacks sticking onto WRs and our D-line forcing quarterbacks to throw into bad throwing situations.

Half the season gone and the Yellowknife Wraiths sit 4th in the in the NSFC, with a 4 - 3 record. And if they are in this position so far, there is 1 person they must thank, and that is their QB, the magnificent Colby Jack.

With their running game missing in action, with an IA player and a rookie in Jay Cue Jr., Jack really stepped up this season and so far has been performing at a most valuable player level. While he does not lead the league in every QB stat, he is pretty damn close to it. League leader in yards, with 2393 and an incredible 18 to 4 touchdown to interception ratio, putting him 2nd in the league in QBR, with 108.9.

Obviously there is still a lot to play for, and hopefully for the Wraiths faithful, their running game picks up the pace a bit to help the team become a bit more bi-dimensional, but with Jack performing like this, would it really be wise for the GMs to change their focus from the passing game? We will see what happens, but with Kai Sakura and Mark Walker present in the WR top 5, the team seems to be on a good path.

Well obviously for the Philadelphia Liberty there is one rookie has been playing well over his TPE total and that is Xavier Walls. I have been seeing him lead the team in tackles quite a bit this season showing that he is well worth the third overall pick. He was the one who had the overtime pick near the goal line to help secure a week one victory over the Butchers, though he only has one sack so far. He also has four tackles for loss and six pass deflections. His tackle total is damn good with it being 52. He has been the bright spot on a struggling Philadelphia Liberty team and is a definite Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate.

He even had a staggering 12 tackles against the Yeti. Against Sarasota? He was the tackles leader with nine. Against Yellowkinfe? He lead the team with 9 tackles as well with 2 of them being for loss! He also lead the team against Baltimore with 6 tackles and one for loss. He has also been extremely active as a user with him helping me write the game balls for the team and always being around for a chat and he in my opinion deserves a lot of recognition for his efforts.

Unfortunately the Chicago Butchers are on the way down as their veteran QB George O'Donnell creeps closer towards retirement, but there are still a few great players on the team making their mark. One such rising star is HeHateme PickSix II, son of the controversial San Jose cornerback. After the team traded veteran cornerback Tyron Shields to the Berlin Fire Salamanders, PickSix was called into action as the team's newly minted outside cover corner. And with longtime great Osiris Firestorm-Fjord set to retire soon, PickSix is in line to take the reins as the number one overall cornerback at the end of the season. In this season, PickSix's pass defense metrics are mostly average, but where he shines is on special teams. Through seven games he has fielded 11 punt returns (five fewer than the league leader Andrew Witten of the New Orleans Second Line), putting him behind eight other players in the league for sheer attempts. Despite this, PickSix leads the league in punt return yards with 189, a full 27 yards ahead of second place. Naturally, this also means that PickSix has the highest punt return average in the league at 17.2 yards per return, a full four yards of the next best punt returner. If the season ended today, PickSix would be able to claim the sixth-best punt return average of any player during a season in league history.
