Sloan retires, reflects on career - Net - 06-16-2021 Oliver Sloan has announced his retirement. The former Minnesota Grey Duck was selected 54th overall in the S23 DSFL Draft. He transitioned from QB to Safety and quickly became a defensive leader. Maybe not top of the charts, but he knew his way around.  @BenDover thank you for the opportunity, I'm always thankful for that and I couldn't have gone to a better team. @24redcrayons, @RussDrivesTheBus, @Tylus and a ton more also for always doing VC, chatting, and just being great teammates. Sloan would then be selected 37th by the Chicago Butchers, which is where his career has been since draft day. @Bayley thank you so much. I love Chicago more than you will ever know, even when I was IA. He would then be called up to play for the Butchers in 2042 (idk what season that is), transition to defensive end, and record 11 sacks in 3 seasons. But the road ends here, as Sloan is close to regression. He thanks everyone who has got him here.  My final thank you is to the goat, the man the myth the legend, and my favorite user...@TheCC. You made sure I was earning, alive, wanting to do podcast, and just hope for the best for me. Those VCs and chats were my favorite moments, and if I walk away ever from this league, those moments are remembered forever. Then I was even more excited that we were able to bring you to Chicago for a reunion. You were always a team first guy, and a good LR presence. You're one of the goofiest dudes I've met in the league and I'm also thankful for all of those conversations and VCs. I wish you the best, in sim leagues and IRL - hopefully we can reunite again in some sim league someday!
