*Interview with the London Royals Rookies (well most of them) - Dolphins - 07-20-2021

I asked the rookies 5 questions and got some cool answers, hopefully after reading this we can all know these rookies even better.

Why did you pick the position you picked?

I would say i made a hall of fame kicker so i want to see if i can finally make an amazing LB

I actually auctioned my recreate position off in our most recent charity drive. Laser won the bid, and he picked CB because he thought it would give me a bit more variety than doing something like playing DT again.

Donkey
I chose TE cause I play wr/te irl and I thought Te would be more scarce.

My very first player in S18 (Mike Franchet) was a DE, so I was already familiar with defensive line positions. Naturally I wanted to see if the grass was greener on the otherside, so I decided to try out DT. I also know, as a general rule of thumb, defensive line players are usually always in demand.

I picked WR as it’s a position I understand, I have a limited knowledge pool with football!

well i picked running back because it just seems like there's so many people who pick a reciever or QB, so i picked RB so i wouldn't be like the 4th string WR on a team

What inspired your player name?

I wanted something to let ppl know I’m here to have fun but be competitive. Anya Mind is a nod to living rent free in the competition’s head.

I don't know that I have a particular inspiration for it, just sounded cool. If the league keeps going for a while, I do intend to bring it back, though.

Donkey
I was debating between donkey murray (combination of my user and kyler murray who's my favorite player) and donkey johnson which is a combination of my user and my pet dog's name. I ultimately decided johnson.

Oh boy hahaha, sure. So in 2012 a Notre Dame LB named Manti Te'o had claimed his grandmother and his girlfriend (Lennay Marie Kekua) had both died within hours of each other. Sports media instantly took up this story, helped along with him leading Notre Dame to a successful season made for an inspiring story.....except Lennay Kekua, his gf, never existed.

Have a player named tom holland in the scfsl, as i really like tom holland, decided to create an evil clone of tom so i could do some fun wiki stuff!

i picked Deluxe because that's been my online name for years. i don't really know why i picked Pogger, i guess its because its one of the most iconic memes ever and because it's my player name in the SCFSL

What inspired your username?

When i was in my first league a bunch of guys on my team were recruiting me for efl, i said they could choose from a few names: Defensive Doll, Ballin Beauty, Huddle Hussy. They couldn’t get over  the last one, it was locker Room Fav. So i went with it, generally it’s pretty fun watching struggle with not knowing what to call me. Not many ppl feel comfortable calling me Hussy but it’s part of the fun

when i first created my discord and roblox accounts, i was really into the mario kart 8 deluxe game that came out on nintendo switch

What are your predictions for yourself this year?

That is hard to say but it's like what i told Lucid, i didn't come here to lose. I don't like to play second fiddle and i always want to be the best. do i think i will be that from the get go? probably not, but my goal is to dominate.

Hard to project what I'm capable of when I've only seen CWII in a handful of sims, but I'm off to a good start earning, so I'm hoping for some flashes of brilliance, maybe even put myself in the running for CBotY.

I dont know if this is a reach for tight end but my goal would be maybe 750+ yards? I dont expect anything too huge.

I would love to just be a mention for DRoTY or DToTY, realistically probably neither. We'll see how it breaks down. I, individually, don't need to be great, but I want to help the Royals win at any cost.

What are your predictions for London this year?

I think we will go a lot further than people expect, think we have some tricks up our sleeves. we are def gonna steal some games

Two quality GMs, some great draft selections, I expect to see us in the playoffs.

im hoping we can go on a playoff run, it looks like a great team.

Well, as always, with callups and IAs, etc... plus London is in a pretty competitive division, I would love to see us in the playoffs. It'll be a close one I'm sure. As for a hard set record, I couldn't guess, as there are many variables in a season.

I have low standards. I believe we will, in some capacity, dominate the competition.

well i hope we win the championship, but i really don't have an idea on how we'll do this season
