(S30) PT 4 - Tough Loss
Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. New for this season, PT's may be submitted in another language, as long as you mention what language you are translating into, to make the job of the grader easier.
Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S30 claim thread. This task is due next Sunday, August 15th 2021, at 11:59 ET. Have fun and get writing!
Written option: Your team just experienced a heart-wrenching OT loss to [insert your team's biggest rival in the league]. First off what team would you consider as your team's biggest rival? What's the locker room looking like after that loss? Which player steps up to motivate the rest of the team? How does your player react?
Graphic option: Create a graphic displaying a locker room after a tough loss. Could include a teammate giving a speech, or anything related to that. Please remember that if you are not sure if your graphic will pass, message any PPT member and they will either be able to give you a ruling or they can bring it back to the team to get a response. But easiest way to get the full TP.
Affiliate claims from SHL and PBE are accepted; link directly to your post and add a note if your username is different there. Make sure the week of the affliate PT matches with the week of this point task. **I doubt anyone has, but if you have claimed the SHL CW last week, then you may not claim it this week.**
Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit. Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit. If you are caught plagiarizing/stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please. If you have a non-full PT pass and would like to use it this week, make sure to post in the thread. No need to post in the thread, with a full PT pass.

Biggest rival out of DSFL and ISFL? I have to consider the Dallas Birddog and London Royals rivalry. I think this rivalry is better than any ISFL rivalry I've experienced. The tension and hatred between these two teams are unlike any other. Every game is an absolute trash-talking show full of crap. After a tough loss, the locker room is gonna understandably be a little tense and sad. I mean, everyone is gonna be upset after a huge loss, especially to a rival. But, I also think there's gonna be a lot of anger and maybe even rage. Perhaps towards other players who might have been slacking during the game, or just towards the game itself. I think the person to motivate the locker room would be me of course! I'm the Hype Man after all! You gotta let the team know that even in a loss, there is good to be looked at. Maybe the team is just young, and you'll slaughter the competition next year. Maybe they just got lucky on a couple of turnovers, but you'll be ready for them next time! Stuff like that has to be said just to improve the general move. Without the one person trying to cheer everyone up, the locker room just becomes a pit of sadness.

Really? You are going to make me talk about the New York Silverbacks again? I'm not even on the Berlin Fire Salamanders anymore and still this is the only team I care about beating. We beat them in the very first game in their own stadium and ever since then it's been faster downhill than a 6 year old on a BMX without a brake. Hey, you should imagine the worst loss you could against your worst enemy. I don't have to imagine cause it bloody happened in the Ultimus and we made sure to play it at half speed so my pain lasted for 84 minutes. I hate @zaynzk with everything I can and I hate every New York team in both real and simulation sports. They can all eff off. I never want to play for any of you. Never draft me cause I will leave in free agency as soon as I can. I hope you never win another Ultimus for as long as I live or as long as I care about this game. You know how the locker room reacts to losses like that? I dunno cause I sat in a dark room by myself for like three days and just drunk way to strong rum and cokes and never wanted another season of the ISFL to start. So yeah tough losses are a right bucket of laughs.

I never really care for it myself, but it seems that some of the rivalries just come straight out of people being petty against each other. Some might come from certain teams being heavily dominant in a division. Like it feels everyone hated OCO before their current non dominate stretch. Just because the Otters were always a good team and could compete for a cup.
With the Honolulu Hahalua, we are a relatively new team and without a big playoff presence so far. So we haven't really played a lot of high stakes games. I think our only playoff games comes against the New Orleans Second Line, yet it was one game and I do not think there is even any bad blood between the two of us. When we were established the other team also had a fish brand. We jokingly refered to it as the fish bowl, but there is also no big rivalry in that match up either. Also it doesn't help we only play each other like once every 10 years or so. Besides that there really aren't any teams we dislike. No teams that make us go 'oooooh we gotta win this match, beat their asses'. And I am oke with that. If we get a rival through having played them multiple times in a row in the playoffs, that would be cool. As long as we dont get a rivalry through sheer pettiness.

All is quiet in the Philadelphia Liberty locker room. They have just experienced a heartbreaking OT loss to the Chicago Butchers and MO one wanted to talk. Tsuyu Asui was deep in thought like she usually is after a loss but now even more so. Finally she figured that someone had to say something to break this awkward silence so she stood up
"I am not one for motivational speeches as you guys know" Tsuyu began to say "but I cannot be completely angry about how we preformed. We tried our absolute best but in the end it just barely was not enough. Negs you played well with three touchdowns and no picks so I am proud of you. We just gotta pick ourselves up and head into the next game. That is all we can do."
"She is right." Jimi says as he stands up as well "yes it was an extremely frustrating loss but we cannot let that get to us and we need to move on. People will talk thier crap no matter what so let's not make it any easier for them by acting out. Alright so let's go pack up and head into the bus to head back home." Everyone silently agreed by nodding as they got up to leave.

This isn’t a very difficult weekly point task to consider. In fact, it’s rather apropos. Just this past week, the Liberty went head-to-head with the vaunted Sarasota Sailfish, in Florida, and found themselves in a dogfight. By the time the 4th quarter ended, the Liberty locker room was a split mix between extreme frustration and pure jubilation. The Liberty had just been called for a league high 15 penalties in this match, so really they had no business even heading into extra time with one of the better teams in the league. Nevertheless, Ryan Negs delivered an 18 yard strike to Furious Panda for an 18 yard touchdown with 11 seconds left to tie the game. Unfortunately the Liberty were unable to turn this train wreck into an actual victory, as the Sailfish hit a 52 yard field goal to get the win. While there was some definite dejection in the locker room, there was a lot of laughter. Players vented themselves at the league, and at the referees. Such comments as “this sim is ridiculous” were heard. But as always, GM Lip Chap made an appearance in the locker room at just the right time, letting the bois now he was proud of how they fought and the progress being made. We’ll see if the Liberty respond in week 11.
