*CWII Pre-Draft Presser - woelkers - 08-30-2021 Cedric Wilkins II, the young stud at cornerback for the London Royals, flashes a toothy smile as he steps to the podium of a makeshift press hall in his hometown of Baton Rouge. Despite a fairly middle-of-the-road season, the rumor mill considers the star athlete one of his draft class's top prospects, and as he taps at the microphone to quiet the gathered reporters, Wilkins seems to be almost trembling with excitement to discuss his future. "Alright, I don't think we got any good reason to delay any longer," Wilkins opens, warmly inviting the crowd to turn their attention his way. "I'll take as many questions as y'all got; I got the time". Quote:@Void_DCXI"Them ain't pecs no more, my man. Those are Grade A shoulder muscles. You know I'm putting in the work, and these are the results." Quote:@g2019"I mostly want opportunities. I know that nothing in this league is a given, everything is earned, but I feel I've earned opportunities in this league, and I want to see them." Quote:@g2019"I've loved London, and I'd be fine returning for another stint, but...Hall of Fame careers ain't made in the DSFL." Quote:@g2019"Obviously we got plenty of great people in London. I love working alongside Hawkins, I've learned a lot just watching how he plays the game. Dusty and Bradley, they really challenge me to be better every day, and I can't thank them enough for that. But I think I have the most fun taking returns from Billy; he places the ball so well off his foot, really makes me work for my yardage. I love that shit, man." Quote:@g2019"Really, I'm just here to prove people wrong, man. I want to show that I can be the do-it-all, utility knife defender and special teamer. I'm fast, sure, but I ain't just fast. I got all the talent to play this game, and I'm going to take that talent and push every damn day." Quote:@g2019"I usually keep to myself; I find I perform my best when I get a chance to clear my head." Quote:@Dolphins"Obviously in London, Bradley no question. The challenge he offers in practice, there ain't no better way of growing than working against that day to day. Beyond the practice field, I remember playing against Staggs all through college, and to see him having his success here, I relish every opportunity I get to go head to head with him here." Quote:@Dolphins"I think Savage has presented the most unique challenge this season; just his ability to move the ball with both his arm and his legs is something not just any player can do, and you have to respect both." Quote:@Dolphins"I think the biggest thing about London, for me, is that it was something fresh, a totally new experience for me. I never expected my football career to take me to England, and to have that experience is something nobody can take away from me." Quote:@Jay_Doctor"Actually, Escanor Sama comes to mind; I remember him from his time at Louisiana State. Obviously a talent like Barnes ain't nothing to sneeze at, but there's something different about Sama, he's worth a watch." Quote:@LordEscanor"It sure feels wet." Quote:@SchwarzNarr"I suppose brown. That shit ain't mesh with my complexion, you feel? Other than that, you know I can rock whatever." Quote:@SchwarzNarr"I mean, I hope I'm never quite done with this game. From day one, my focus is me and my career, but there's room for me to move to a coaching role down the road." Quote:@SchwarzNarr"More. This is the big show, the real deal. Very much more." Quote:@SchwarzNarr"I've had some great talks with a number of teams, but I'm not going to speculate too much. I'll bust my ass anywhere." Quote:@SchwarzNarr"I guess I don't really have a 5 year or 10 year plan. Every day playing this game is a blessing, so I'm sort of taking it day to day."
