@Bwestfield, @Ben, and @iamslm22 have all stepped down from the Hall of Fame Committee. I'd like to thank them for their many seasons of service to the league and to the Hall!

Now...

Are you a boomer? Do you think these dang new users don't understand the history of the league? Well boy do I have the job for you!

As we finish out the last of the S15 class and work through the retirements of players in the S18 class and further, we are in need of (slightly) younger boomers to join the committee. Given the magnitude of importance of this job to league history, there are a few requirements that other jobs do not have:

You must have been a user since at least S18. HOF Committee members need to know the context of players from this generation - how well they played statistically compared to the other players of the time, and how those stack up historically. Limiting the pool to users who have been here for at least 13 seasons obviously means many new users are snubbed from this, but I think it's important that members of the committee actually have first hand experience of the time periods being voted on.
You need to have a good understanding of what is historical and what is not. Ballots are given with awards, statistical records, and titles. Your ability to interpret this information is crucial to your ability to be a good voter. Everyone has different opinions about what should be important towards induction, but it's important to know what is important to you.
You need to be able to vote on a ballot, given a week. Okay, that's not actually that hard.

I understand the need to have some historical context but S18 seems like an extremely harsh cutoff. Hypothetically, someone who created in S25 has had over an entire year of real-time elapse since getting drafted into the ISFL (and even more since signing up at first). S22 has had over a year and a half. That should be plenty of time for someone invested in the league to be able to understand historical context if that's something they're really into, and I don't see a reason to pre-screen them out rather than just let them try their hand at showing they have that ability in the interview process. There are a lot of really great users who have been around for slightly less time than the S18 class and it feels a shame to me to prevent any of them from even applying.

Definitely not using this as a cover for myself btw, but I believe there are a few friends from S25 who have learned a lot about the league's history and would excel if given a chance to add a fresher perspective to the league while still being able to appreciate the historical context for stats etc.
