S32 HO Newsletter - bex - 11-14-2021
Hello friends! While there’s a new and improved newsletter format, I wanted to take the time to do one final update in my format!
Open Positions
As you may have seen, we have a lot of job openings around the league! You can see full listings here, but I wanted to highlight a few.
Sim team is still seeking a streamer and an ISFL sim head. We’ll also be looking for an additional graphics maker soon. Thank you to @Duilio05 for stepping up to fill the open ISFL GFX opening.
We’re looking for a new Development Head! This position is vital to our league operations, so if you or someone you know has web development experience, please reach out!
We’re also excited to be hiring for our new Community Moderation team as we work to raise engagement and cultivate a more positive community.
It’s a great time to get involved with the league, and we look forward to seeing your applications!
HO Staffing Change
Effective immediately, I will be stepping down from all roles in Head Office and @Swanty will be stepping into the role of ISFL commissioner. I have full faith in his drive and vision for the league, and I'm so excited to see what he and his Head Office can do!
Support the League
As you may be aware, the league costs money to run. The league is free, and we will never charge anyone to be a part of it. However, if you would like to assist with our monthly server costs, or future recruitment ads, you can donate at https://ko-fi.com/supportisfl
All donations will be put to league expenses, and we’ll be reporting back on exact allocation of funds that are earned through ko-fi.

For a sneak peek at what our costs generally are, here’s a breakdown of official payments made from June of 2020 through November of 2021. This does not include ads that were sponsored by individuals, though going forward we’d like to sponsor our own ads through this new funding stream.

Hello ISFLers!
First off, a huge thank you to Bex for everything she's done over the last 2 years. She has worked tirelessly to make this league better and succeeded in doing so, helping to navigate the league through the biggest draft classes the league has ever seen and almost doubling our active user count, not to mention presiding over a forum transfer and sim transfer.
Bex has been an incredible mentor to me, especially in the last 10 months that I've been involved with Head Office. I'm so thankful for all the opportunities she's given me, including this one. It's going to be an impossible task to fill her shoes, but I'll give it a go.
I'm also delighted that Bex will be our first ever ISFL Treasurer as she continues to look after the league purse, so I'm personally really happy that we'll continue to work together!
Please join me in thanking Bex for dedicating countless thousands of hours to this league over the last two years!

Thank you for everything you have done Bex and everything you have put into the league. Since I joined in S25 I haven't known any other ISFL Commissioner but you have always been a great one to me. I hope you enjoy your retirement and deserved time off. Thank you for everything Bex.
Swanty, you have some big shoes to fill but to be honest I think out of everyone who could become a succesful commissioner it would be you. You have been super involved with the league since first joining in S25 and you have been involved with so many projects that have led the league in great directions. Congrats and I can't wait to see what you do!
