I got the call! At first when they said I was in the first round, I thought they meant buying beers for everyone. Turns out thy meant I was drafted in the first round of players picked!
Draft... rounds... growing up brewing the family ale [Strongjaw Ale - found at all reputable licensed sellers]... makes the language they use here confusing. But anyway, I did good! And am now part of a team!

Day 19
So in the excitement last night, I forgot to ask which team picked me. Turns out the US is a big country, and randomly driving around in an RV isn't going to eventually get me where I need to go.
After a quick call this morning, I learned that I am going to Kansas! I've heard of it before, but I'm not sure where I know it from.
Have this song stuck in my head. Can't remember the words, been humming it all day, something about rainbows I think?

Day 21
Finally made it to Kansas! Met the whole team this morning. The manager and 3 of the players greeted me, but it was so weird... all the other guys kinda just say there, staring, un-moving. Almost like robots.
We're heading out for drinks tonight. They've convinced me not to bring one of the Strongjaw family kegs, drinks are on them tonight, they want me to experience the American way! I hope that means more Taco Bell.

Day 22
What the fuck is an IPA? I hope I never taste that shit again. When I got home I had to wash my mouth out with three pints of SJ ale. Ugh.
My team mates are SO WEIRD. There's this one oddball obsessed with Yoshi from the Mario games, wouldn't shut up about him all night. To be fair, they did well to avoid spilling the drink as they drank through their Yoshi suit, so credit where it's due.
Our kicker showed up late. They apparently went to 5 other bars before finding us. I guess that's what happens when you lose your seeing eye dog.
Speaking of dogs! Best part of the night was when someone showed up with their good boy, Ranger. They're not even on the team, they just hung out with us. Turns out they're a GM for another team in the ISFL, so obviously they're there to poach me before others can.
Still humming that song. Something about bluebirds?

The media work started today. They have me doing pressers, making a twitter account, and they even want me to write some articles for some website (as if!).
I'm not sure what I'd even write. I'm not much for words, the only thing I've ever really written is this.... wait... wait a minute...

Cider's a little easier, most places, even grocery stores, carry Stella Artois "Cidre". It's not the syrupy apple juice stuff you'll get from the likes of Angry Orchard.
