Hawks - Wraiths Championship Announcement - AsylumParty - 08-29-2017
Following the Hawks' victory over the Wraiths in the NSFC championship game, there was a detail brought to the attention of the head office. Erasmo Broadway had 100 agility instead of the 75 it's supposed to be. The numbers in the update sheet had been entered incorrectly to 775, rather than 75, and it defaulted to 100.
Before any speculations are made, I'd like to point out that @HENDRIX was the one to come forward with this information.
In addition, all NSFL GMs (@Bzerkap included) were made aware of this and invited to help us determine the most reasonable course of action, seeing as how delicate a matter this is. Trust me when I say, that after extensive discussion, our decision isn't one we take lightly and we understand that no matter what we had landed on, a number of people would be understandably upset that it occurred at all.
We have collectively come to the agreement that a re-sim would not set the right precedent - not all update errors are deserving of a complete re-sim.
In this case, the sim has been analyzed by multiple people, with everyone determining that Broadway had a very minimal impact, not only by reviewing his stat sheet, but each of his individual coverage assignments and tackles.
Re-sims are only to be enacted in the most critical situations, especially with so much on the line, however, we do understand that people will be frustrated with this, so we are taking measures to prevent it from happening again in the future. Conditional formatting will be implemented. This will prevent specifically these types of errors from occurring, and our update team will be diligently looking for additional ways to improve the process. We welcome any and all relevant suggestions as well, of course.

Isn't our updated the Wraiths GM anyways? I'm glad you guys came to the decision, it's likely that the updater just made a random typo. Apparently Broadway gets worse with too much agility hahahah.

Yes, Bzerkap is the Hawks updated which made this awful situation a little easier to deal with. The conversation amongst GMs was amicable and productive and I ask that the rest of the NSFL reacts the same way.
Time to move forward!

I agree with the decisions made by the front office and the input from all other GMs on this matter.
I was the updater for the Hawks and I take my job very seriously. It pains me to know I screwed up something in the sheets, regardless if it was a detriment, a boost, or a non-factor to my team. I took the job because I wanted the league to be as fair and within the bounds of the rules as possible. So this is all on me.
With that stated, several GMs analyzed the game individually and found that his impact in this sim was minimal. I agreed with that analyses. So I also agree with the decision that sometimes mistakes happen and not every game that has a mistake like this should be re-simmed. The Hawks simply had a strong gameplan and the Sim gods decided to give us a poor result. It is what it is and I am looking forward to the Ultimus and S3 draft.
Sorry to everyone out there that my actions affected. All of the blame lies on me.

Don't stress about man, it's a thankless job. You've been super solid, and it obviously had no impact on the game.

Great decision. It makes me happy to see a league that comes professionally to a conclusion without lackluster banter and complaining in which may happen in other leagues. Great job by the GMs, this is a good decision and gives a good look for the league.
Updating is a tough job, so acknowledging you made a mistake also deserves credit. No harm, no foul.
