*S3 Rookies: Why Be an Otter? - RedCydranth - 08-30-2017 Hello, My name is Marc Spector. I'm one of two Cornerbacks who play for the Orange County Otters. I'm here today addressing all of the players who are going to be in the upcoming Season 3 Draft. While I understand you do not have a choice in where you are drafted, I would like to take the time to tell you all of the perks being an Otter player. 1. Great Leadership. We have some amazing people leading this team. Dominic Verns (@Roshambo) and Ian Bavitz (@Molarpistols) are some great GMs. But the leadership runs deeper. Our former GMs Adamle Tomlinson (@Jbearly) and Leroy Jenkins (@Jiggly_333) are also very vocal members for the team. In addition Angus Winchester (@timeconsumer) is an amazing consultant for the team. If you have ANY questions about anything, any of the above will be there to help you and support your journey. 2. Winning Attitude Although the Otters have failed to make the Ultimus game 2 seasons in a row, we honestly feel that it is only because we share a division with the Outlaws who have been so very dominant. We legitimately feel that if we were placed in the opposing division, we'd have been in the Championship game 2 years straight. Despite this, we go into every game knowing we stand a chance against the best teams in the league. We've not had a losing season yet, and we do not anticipate that changing in the foreseeable future. 3. Job Opportunities Despite the amount of winning we do, we have a lot of positions available that good young prospects like yourselves could fit into, Day 1. We've had some unfortunate losses over the last several weeks. Plus some of our amazing free agency pickups during Season 2 may not be able to be drafted by us in this draft. Also, having depth at positions is always beneficial. Life can get in the way and one of our players my suddenly become inactive. This provides a wonderful opportunity to a young player to prove they are ready to be a starter. 4. Recreational Activities Once you are an Otter, you will be given access to our Discord channels. We have a couple chat based channels which are usually pretty lively with NSFL discussions, but can easily drift into talking about relevant topics like Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, The NFL, The NBA, Soccer and even the occasional theological debate. In addition to these rooms, we have a Music channel where we share songs we're currently addicted to and listen to each other's musical tastes. It opens doors and creates bonds when you help someone expand their horizons on a musical front. We also have a Cute British Girls GIF channel. Several nights a week, Jiggly posts a veritable cache of animated GIFs of cute girls, often British, but not always. They're tasteful and it is not a pornography channel. Only tasteful pictures, but always pleasing to the eye. 5. Snail Races While this technically could be listed under the Recreational activities, it deserves its own heading because it is a lot of fun. This discord channel features a game in which you can race your snails against other Otters or against computer racers. As you win races, you get experience and in turn makes your snail faster. Things can get heated up in there and new faces are always welcome. Hilarious prizes are awarded, such as "A bag of money which you probably won't be arrested for." and "A gross bowl of ramen." which can be traded or hoarded. While you can not control where it is you land, you can maybe hope that you get picked by one of the best teams in the NSFL, the Orange County Otters. Sometimes I even talk about their acting if it's an actress or their musical style if it's a musician. I like to show as much about the person as possible to show why they're so great. Much more than just how they look. TL;dr: Don't walk into my thread asking for boobs and posting random gifs with no backup on them. You will be swiftly re-accommodated. *S3 Rookies: Why Be an Otter? - Roshambo - 08-31-2017 ![]() *S3 Rookies: Why Be an Otter? - cosbornballboy - 08-31-2017 (08-30-2017, 08:43 PM)manicmav36 Wrote:Honestly, this sounds awesome.
