*If I were Wraiths GM... - Bayley - 09-04-2017 [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Well, it is time for another episode of If I were a GM. I know I have received a lot of comments, I appreciate all of them! These episodes are looking from the outside without any input on inner workings, personal attachments, or Stage 5 clingers. Honestly, I don't care about those. This is based off needs and how to be a better team. Let's go, Wraiths. Trade CB Dirk Cutter When your DT is leading your defense in sacks, it is time to get an upgrade there. Now, this guy should be able to either net you one of two things: 1. an inactive with at least 100 TPE that you could put at the DE position to get a little more out of or 2. a mid-round draft pick to net one of the prospects in which is in this draft. Teams should be looking for a guy to put in the middle of their secondary to hopefully get some from. This could be in the Safety position or CB position. This guy shouldn't cost you much. And, honestly, he has been on 2 weeks ago, so it's worth the trade for an inactive. If I am getting a position of need, I move him and the other team could take the gamble. You need DLine with this guy or a mid-round pick. Move him. For a mid round pick, you should be able to look at Eidur Gustavsson, Sal Ifedemi, or the new guy Arjen de Ligt that just joined. It is absolutely worth the trade. Trade S Levon Novel When you have Alex Hansen and Marcus Kane who are both guys that will always be above this guy, let's move the 147 TPE Safety that could be of use to other teams. For some of the same reasons above, I think that this guy could be packaged with players or picks to get the pieces of need or to move up in the draft. You don't need him, move him for what you do need. I understand you may use this guy in more of a backer role, but why not trade for one or draft one with the pick you get from him. Trade OL Matt James Attention Colorado, this guy is available. Picks and players to help now are the ask. Or how about taking 9+ this guy + to try to move up to 4? Would Colorado be interested in that? Probably not, but with the amount of depth that this draft could have, just maybe. 9, 13, James for 4? I mean, I am just throwing out ideas, but would be interesting. Why would YKW do that? I mean, they would have 3 and 4 when it matters. They are moving 2 later pieces and a useless player for their team for a top 4 pick. Why would Colorado do that? I mean, good question, but this draft is deep, so they could get Rico Rodriguez, Francois Lamoreaux, Sammy Walters, and Archetype Schmarchetype with both of those picks. You instantly get better in 3 positions on the offensive line. Will it happen? Probably not, but hey, I am the GM, I do what I want. Trade WR Damian West 147 TPE for a late round draft pick. Save cap and move this guy. I mean, if someone heads over to SHL and messages him, you may be able to get him back. I think that has to be a positive for any other team. For this team, he won't fit in. I mean, move him for a 4th - 7th round pick because why not. I mean, you better save cap. He isn't worth anything anyway. Or, maybe get a inactive player of need. I doubt you will get much, but you can try. Trade RB Eric Kennedy You have Bubba Nuck, what are you doing with another RB? Is it important to you to grab a backup Running Back? It shouldn't be. He's active and doing well, so you should be able to get a bit from him. I think you could package him with the picks and easily move up for a team looking for an active player to put back there. I think he's absolutely worth the ask and if I were the Wraiths, I would be open to moving him. Trade #9, #13, + to move up I'd be talking to San Jose, Colorado, Baltimore, and Orange County to move up into the 4-7 range with these picks. I would be trying to move up to get some of the highly prized guys such as JD Boom, one of the Sandovals, or even Godfrey King if he falls to that point. You have a lot of picks, get quality picks by moving up by teams that may be looking to fill more positions than you. Boom has to be at the top of your list. Keep Bork Bjornsson, Dermot Lavelle, Bailey Cook, Mat Akselsen, Josh Garden, Bubba Nuck, Chris Orosz, John Floggity Why would you move any of these guys? I mean, you have to put them at the top of your list and other teams would be clawing for these guys, don't waste your time. You have a fantastic core, keep them and move on. Never move TE Ricky Maddox Why would you move the #1 TE in the league? He probably is on his way to stardom as being the best TE to appear in NSFL. Keep him, sign him, keep signing him. You have a stud, you should keep him forever. #1 Priority, Trade LB Kevin Cushing 5 sacks, only 88 tackles, are you serious? You want a captain of your defense and you choose this guy? I mean, you have to look at options to move him. If a team comes to you with a top 5 pick and a top DE, I would absolutely look at moving him. He's practically useless. You have to listen, I definitely would. Move him, love the package coming back and know that this guy won't be in your locker room. When I read your reasoning for Owen Taylor I knew you were gonna recommend shipping my ass out. I didn't think unloading me would be TOP PRIORITY, though! What's funny is I read all the individual trade suggestions, and when I got past that to the keepers I was thinking "oh, I guess it won't be suggested." Got me good. *If I were Wraiths GM... - RainDelay - 09-04-2017 We best not trade Kevin Cushing! *If I were Wraiths GM... - Dangles13 - 09-04-2017 Archibald Booter is the only player we need *If I were Wraiths GM... - RedCydranth - 09-04-2017 I think almost any team would gladly welcome Cushing on their roster. I can't fathom how you can say trading him is a must. If he was a S1 player and put up those numbers still, maybe, but S2 was his rookie year and he's only gonna get better. But hey, if I were the Otters GM, I'd listen to offers. But I'm not. I'm a scrub CB with no say whatsoever, LOL. *If I were Wraiths GM... - Bayley - 09-04-2017 (09-04-2017, 11:21 PM)RedCydranth Wrote:I think almost any team would gladly welcome Cushing on their roster. I had to come up with some reason haha. Watch it happen now :jawdrop: |
