*Westfield's Past, Present, and Future - Bwestfield - 09-05-2017

The beginning of my career as an Otter was unlike any other. I sat patiently at my home waiting to be drafted. At one point I almost gave up after watching other players get drafted ahead of me. 71 times to be exact. I was drafted 72nd overall in the initial NSFL draft. I was given a nice big contract and a placed near the top of the depth chart. 3 years at $3 million per year is fantastic for a rookie. Coming into the season being the number 1 on a team wasn’t as important as being a dependable player and someone who could be relied on. I wanted to learn and to build myself to fit the team I was playing for. For the Otters I wasn't the number one receiver on the team but being number two means I am always out there trying to get open or blocking for my teammates. I didn't mind blocking or being a diversion, I was getting lots of targets and part of a great offense. I finished the season with just under 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns. I lead the league in touchdowns at my position in season 1 and couldn’t have been more proud.

In season two there was much more competition at wide receiver, both inside and outside the locker room. There was a ton of new talent on other teams and my own. I fell back a little bit and my counterpart Robert Phelps exploded. There was the addition of Trey Willie who turned out to be an awesome receiver and an even awesomer dude! George Wright also got his share of yards and touchdowns leading to his best season yet. What was left over was mine. I was able to get more catches but at the same time my touchdowns and yards were less. This was not my best year but I should still be able to make the probowl given the lack of competition in the ASFC at the wide receiver position. Most of the all star wide outs either were traded to the NSFC or were there to begin with. It will be an honor to represent my division in the Pro-Bowl. After my season was looking a bit bleak, the team and I decided to pay for me to go to a new expert trainer. Someone to help me get all of my fundamentals down so I could be not only better but considered one of the best. The Otters were kind enough to pay in full for the new training which cost them $4 million. I am now in their debt and if they will have me back after my contract expires at the end of season 3 I will gladly accept.

I am about to start my third season as an Otter now and things need to get better. I have changed my game plan and started a new workout routine over the break. Now that team training is on its way I will be looking to overthrow my companion Phelps as the number one receiver. Now that its my third season I need to step up. Phelps had a prolific season last year but I am looking to take the next step in my career. I can either be the number 2 all my life or show I have what it takes. I have done everything I need to do to make the best of all the passes I get from my QB Mike Boss. Let's have a breakout year in season 3 and set new personal and league records. Season 3 here I come.

I appreciate that. Coming from a rival and a champion means I like it more. :cigar:

AYE AYE AYE! Slow the roll on the "rival" thing. Ain't much of a rivalry when ya'll only won one single time out of all the others.

Just cuz you don't see us as a rival don't mean we don't see you as one. It's like the Bills and the Patriots.... except if the Bills actually had winning seasons and made playoffs. Bills will always see the Pats as a rival. The Pats will always see the Bills as a roadbump.

I haven't changed my opinion as you guys as "rivals" or roadbumps as you better described it but I sure did love being called the Patriots! Thanks!
