*DraftDuel Preseason Weeks 1 and 2 - adam2552 - 09-14-2017
Weeks 1 and 2 of the preseason are in the books and the DraftDuel scores have been calculated and winners paid!
First I’d like to thank everyone who participated in helping us test and develop the system as we prepare for launching DraftDuel week of the regular season.

Looking back at week 1 of the preseason, the standout performer of the week was the Outlaws Defense, they racked up 26 points which was the most of any player. The biggest sleeper of the week was Baltimore Hawks wide out Trey Willie, who despite being listed as a Tier 3 player who had 96 yards and a touchdown, good for 15.6 points. The biggest underperformer was WR Robert Phelps, coming off of a WR of the year performance last season, he managed just 26 yards in his S3 preseason debut (2.6 points). The best lineup of week 1 was submitted by @AsylumParty:
QB: Logan Noble (Tier 3)
RB: Ardie Savea (Tier 2)
RB: Reg Mackworth (Tier 1)
WR: Josh Garden (Tier 1)
WR: Bailey Cook (Tier 2)
TE: Charlie Law (Tier 3)
Flex: Dustin Evans (Tier 2)
K: Stephen Harris (Tier 3)
DEF: Arizona Outlaws (Tier 1)
This lineup scored 131.26 points in preseason week 1, which was 15 points more than second place.
Week 2 of the preseason was all about the Outlaws, their offense and defense embarrassed the Las Vegas Legion. The top player of the week was Outlaws WR Dustin Evans who scored 33.8 points as he had 158 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. The biggest underperformer of the week was Fox North. The Liberty WR was only able to manage 61 yards for a total of 6.1 points, the lowest among all Tier 1 position players. The best lineup of week 2 was submitted by @automatic:

There appears to be a common theme in this lineup, all the players except Mayran Jackson are current Arizona Outlaws, although depending on when this was submitted, they could have all been Outlaws at the time of submission. This lineup scored a ridiculous 167.68 points, which was 11 points higher than second place. All seven winners from Week 2 had their QB as King Bronko (32.28 points).
We’ve paid out $1,000,000 through 2 weeks, but we aren’t stopping there. You still have time to enter the contests for weeks 3 and 4 of the preseason (Click here to enter!). Each preseason week has a prize pool of $500,000 with a top prize of $250,000 and it is FREE to enter! You can enter each contest a maximum of five times, making it possible for you to win up to $450,000 each preseason week!
But wait, there’s more. For week 1 of the regular season we are going to be hosting a FREE to enter contest with a $2,000,000 prize pool and a top prize of $1,000,000. During week 1 we are also going to open our paid to enter contests ($250,000 entry and $1,000,000 entry). All the same rules apply to these contests, you may enter each contest a maximum of five times. The prize pools for the paid-to-enter contests will be determined by the amount of entrants in each contest. The more people that play, the bigger the prizes! Yes. I think they are running free preseason entries 1. to get participation and 2. because its preseason.

Yes! Starting Week 1 of the regular season, there will be 2 "levels" of paid entry. There will be a contest that costs $250k per entry and another contest that costs $1mil per entry. These contests are completely separate, so if you enter the $250k contest you can only win what is in that prize pool. We just didn't think it was right to charge people while we were getting everything set up and our system figured out.
