*SaberCast Studios Interview Series Ep.3 - Sweetwater - 09-15-2017

Welcome back SaberCast Fans! Here is this week's episode of the Interview Series, this week featuring @ErMurazor, our favorite simmer. Here to talk about rigging the games so that the Outlaws win the Ultimus every year, and how to correctly tamper and get away with it.

Grader, 50% to @ErMurazor for his time

You know when you mentioned that the sim seems to favour certain players... I have wondered about that. Have you considered this might be to do with the hidden personality attributes?

For example, Isaiah Rashad has 90+ in Work Ethic, Competitiveness and Team Player with 76 in Social Disposition. Mike Boss has 63, 69, 41 and 30 respectively. Logically it wouldn't be a stretch to think maybe this contributes partly to one being consistently better (compared to expectation from their playing attributes) than the other.

I believe the personal attributes were disabled in the sim

Guys stop tampering. Tongue

This is correct, personalities and experience are disabled. It just appears that certain players just happen to outperform others, which appears to come down to the 'any given Sunday' aspect of the game.

Solid podcast, just finished it. And yeah, we definitely need another simmer. This drives our league, so pay should not be a problem.

Fair enough. Just wondering, really. Seems a bit strange.

This was great fun.

Also, Regarding the LB starting at DE.

On average I was getting like 3 tackles per game and half a sack per game as DT.

If I converted to an appropriate LB and was slotted at defensive end, I was averaging like 3.5 tackles, 2 PD and a sack each game. I'm not swapping to LB to do that but it was pretty interesting.

I do think that weight probably has something to do with this as well, it's very possible the LB would get pancaked a lot slotted in at a DE.

Part of me thinks that even when the personalities are disabled, the devs made a mistake and they still have an impact.

It's definitely possible.

I'm sure someone said personalities affect OVR too so I imagine they have some effect in the game engine itself, and it wouldn't surprise me if they missed a few instances where they're still considered.

Might fiddle with that later and see what happens. Just because.
