*NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - DELIRIVM - 09-15-2017 [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres [1618 Words / Ready to Grade][/div] Rumors through the grapevine concerning Wyatt Fulton have been swirling ever since the move that sent him to the Yellowknife Wraiths. Today we’re going to sit down with the man himself and ask him straight up some answers to the questions that many have on their mind concerning the future of the Wraiths’ Linebacker. Zach Acres: “I’m Zach Acres with NSFL Network and we are proud to welcome Yellowknife Wraiths linebacker Wyatt Fulton to the program. How are you today, Wyatt? Adjusting to living in Canada?” Wyatt Fulton: “Not really a lot has changed other than that I am living out of a hotel room at the moment. I’m in the last year of my contract and while I really do like Yellowknife so far I just want to keep my options open. So looking for something to rent sounds like a good compromise at the moment. But there has been zero time zone change and the decreased altitude really has been different for me.” ZA: “How so? I know people talk about the effects of going from low elevation to high elevation, such as a place like Denver, but going from Denver to Yellowknife, how does that impact your conditioning?” WF: *laughs* “I feel like I never run out of energy. I guess what they say about playing and conditioning at altitude is true. But it’s only a matter of time before I acclimate to playing at a lower elevation and I start getting those spells of fatigue.” ZA: “You moved from a team in Colorado which you had been one of the locker room leaders. The original player on the roster. Does it hurt moving away from a team that you obviously were such a big part of?” WF: “You have no idea, Zach. A lot of people don’t understand why I pushed so hard for a trade out of that team. Not because I disliked the people of Colorado or that I was bitter. I asked out early because that team deserved to retain an important piece for their future. I was planning on testing free agency anyway. Most of this was due to some parts of the team and me not really adding up. I didn’t feel like the way the team was moving would allow me to show off my skills anymore. I felt like the team was also entering a rebuilding phase and I wanted to be, selfishly, in contention in season three. So I know some people may see me as a traitor but I do hope the very best for the Yeti. They were the first team I ever played with and we reached the finals in season one. I’ll never forget that group!” ZA: “Seems like there was a lot of thought put into your move. What was your reaction when you had found out that you were being moved to Yellowknife?” WF: “ I was a little stunned to be honest. The Wraiths have been our biggest rivals since the beginning of the league. We have fought tooth and nail with that team since the inception of the NSFL and to be moved to the rival team. I really thought it’d never happen. After the surprise wore off I feel like I was a bit more anxious about the move. I knew that the Wraiths were compiling a great defense but they were guys I had jawed with from the sideline in so many games that it was going to feel weird walking into the locker room with them. But let me tell you, the warmth from the team was felt immediately. So many of the guys on the team reached out to me and welcomed me via phone call. Telling me they were really excited to be able to play together next season. So I do feel some connection with the team already in such a short time.” ZA: “I guess that brings me to one of the biggest questions on a lot of people’s minds. Will you be re-signing in Yellowknife?” WF: “Oh man, that is a big question. Tough for me to answer at this point too. I’m really enjoying my time so far being a spooky ghost and the locker room has told me that they want me to stick around. I feel like it’s a real possibility. One of the biggest factors in my decision is the bromance with my former Colorado State and Colorado Yeti teammate Philippe Carter and his decision on whether to test Free Agency next season. He has been one of my closest friends since I started playing football in college and when we got to be on the same NSFL team - well shit felt good. But when he was moved to Arizona and I was moved to Yellowknife it was pretty disappointing. So yeah, I am liking Yellowknife a lot. Our GM is a killer dude, the defensive group is very friendly and the whole team is so supportive. So I think there is a very good chance I am a Wraith for longer than season three. But I am keeping my options open at this point.” ZA: “There have been some rumors about you possibly looking into a position change? Are these rumors true?” WF: “Yeaaaaaah. I actually have considered a position change. But it’d be really tough at this point in my career. I’m a pretty good linebacker. Some of the guys out there are really spectacular linebackers and I have wanted to compete with them so heavily. But I don’t really know at this point. I am just looking for a position in which I make an impact.” ZA: “What positions have you considered moving to?” WF: “Halfback is obviously a very interesting choice for me at this point. I think I have the speed to be one of the better backs in the league but what it comes down to is how open is the position, if you know what I mean? A lot of teams seem to have fairly good backs at this point and I don’t exactly know where I would fit in the league with a change to running back. I have considered a lot of positions though. I think I’d be a fairly good safety but that’s a fairly lateral move from where I am right now due to my ability to play coverage fairly well as a linebacker and that I’d likely slot into the Strong Safety role - and realistically I can play that pretty well already. I guess I have also considered tight end. Not a lot of great tight ends in the league and I think my ability at the position could add up another great weapon for a team. Obviously it’s not the most important position in the league but it’d be fun to play and I’d get to catch the ball occasionally!” ZA: “Have their been any position changes discussed that might be a bit off the wall when many hear it?” WF: *laughs* “Well I doubt many people know this but I was actually the backup QB in high school and I saw two games at Colorado State when our starter got hurt. Carter probably remembers me out there throwing the ball around. I’ve never been terrible at the position. I have good arm strength and knew how to read defenses pretty well. I think it would just take me time to learn the playbooks and I could probably be a pretty good quarterback. But I know the league is packed to the brim with QBs and trying to find a spot would be one hell of a ride. Especially having spent a year with very low development. But you never know!” ZA: “Well thank you for sitting down with us here. Is there anything you’d like to add before we end for today?” WF: “I just wanted to start off by giving a big shoutout to all my boys back in Colorado. Thank you for a great two seasons. Thank you for all your loyalty to me and I am sorry if it looks like I was not loyal to the Yeti, but I moved on out of love. I wish you all the best when we’re not playing and I hope we have a great season series this year. I’d also like to take a minute to talk about my non-profit called Sanctuary. We’re a group that helps refugees and persons who have escaped from war-torn countries. We help set up these people with homes, food and jobs. Our goal is to help these persons integrate into society around the world. So far we are active in four countries and hope to expand our sanctuaries to other countries. I believe that there is not enough human decency going around in the world right now. So many people are selfishly focused only on their own personal gains and Sanctuary gives people a chance to help those that are less fortunate than them. Just last year we helped set up an escaped North Korean family in a home in Seoul after their terrifying ordeal . So you can visit www.thesanctuary.com or call us at 1-800-CAN-HELP. There are donation options and you can be involved in many other ways. Thank you for letting me pitch that on air, Zach.” ZA: “Not a problem at all. We are glad to have gotten an interview with you. We hope to sit down with you again soon. Alright viewers. That was NSFL Linebacker Wyatt Fulton. He was recently traded to the Wraiths and has been considering a position change of late. Hit us up with your e-mails and our experts will try and answer them live on air.” *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - Archon - 09-15-2017 Great piece bro, I certainly hope we're able to keep you in Yellowknife past season 3. *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - kckolbe - 09-15-2017 If you wanna play in the secondary, I know I'd be okay with that. We'd have the best pass defense in the league. *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - enigmatic - 09-16-2017 Fulton shall always be Carter's bae *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - DELIRIVM - 09-16-2017 (09-15-2017, 11:02 PM)enigmatic Wrote:Fulton shall always be Carter's bae ![]() *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - Archon - 09-16-2017 (09-15-2017, 11:11 PM)incitehysteria Wrote: Hey how about you two get a fucking room. *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - DELIRIVM - 09-16-2017 (09-15-2017, 11:14 PM)Archon Wrote:Hey how about you two get a fucking room. ![]() *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - Archon - 09-16-2017 (09-15-2017, 11:17 PM)incitehysteria Wrote: Yep, that's what the league needed, another Jiggly_333. *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - DELIRIVM - 09-16-2017 (09-15-2017, 11:19 PM)Archon Wrote:Yep, that's what the league needed, another Jiggly_333. ![]() *NSFL Network Sitdown with Zach Acres - enigmatic - 09-16-2017 (09-16-2017, 01:19 AM)Archon Wrote:Yep, that's what the league needed, another Jiggly_333. ![]() |
