Statistical Analysis Grading - sabills - 09-15-2017

When does the statistical analysis section get graded? There has been exactly one article graded in there since July 25th, and it was one of the more recent ones, though still over 2 weeks ago. Is there something that I'm missing about the grading situation, or is it just not getting done?

I admit I'm being a little selfish asking, because I have one sitting in there waiting, but I'm far from the only one. There's articles in there that were submitted on July 27th without any payment.

I'm sure they're a pain to grade because the grading system is so subjective, but those articles not only draw interest but also have real effects on how teams are run, changes are made to the sim, and what people put TPE into, and they should get some credit for that.

No offense intended to any of the graders or the people running it, ya'll do a great job in general.

THANK YOU!

I have written several people about this and was always told soon. I have like ten articles in there and was really hoping to buy equipment before the season starts but at this point it seems unlikely. Just sucks cause other articles are being done. I guess I will just avoid that category now.

It would be a loss for the league if you no longer wrote informative statistical analysis. Hopefully this situation is resolved and media in that section is graded in a more timely fashion.

Yeah, this is what I'm talking about. Analysis like yours has an actually, tangible benefit to the league. The media stuff is fun and interesting, but the stats section is, I think, more important for the growth of the the game.

I've graded a lot of these in the past, but really with being a Co-GM now I think I need to step down from media grading so I can put more focus on winning for the sabercats.

I know bovovovo crushes it as far as grading but yeah, maybe they need to swap out some of the lower effort media graders for other people.

I also think the payout is a joke. Some statistical analysis takes days to produce but the maximum is like 2 million I think. Meanwhile writing some bullshit article can get way more. Statistical analysis should be encouraged, not discouraged. Sure not every of my articles is amazing, but still

I definitely would try and take the following in to account when grading
1.) Data collection time
2.) Analysis on the given data
3.) and possibly practical usage of the data/analysis.

Yup. Problem is without a good knowledge of the methodology and some experience in data analysis and statistics most graders probably can't tell what took 10 minutes in data collection and analysis and what took 16 hours.
