This name is a name of a player who hasn't been heard from very much since the recent blockbuster LVL/YKW trade he was a part of. The player I am talking about is Sinjin Flimjollywop. Now, I have a challenge for all you readers. I want you to say 'Sinjin Flimjollywop' five times at a quick pace. See if you can't get your tongue twisted.

This name rolls of the tongue and it is so plain weird but I like it. We don't know where or how it was created, but we know that it is a crazy name and one of the longest names in the NSFL. I contacted some experts from Princeton to try to analyze the linguistics in this name:

"Hmm. If we annotate this and find all the roots and where all these stems came from, we could probably trace the direct source to Flimjollywop's ancestry. Sounds like latin to me, but it could also be-"

Next!

"After thorough searches and examinations through various prehistoric documents, we can determine that the root of this name is untraceable. It will remain a mystery."

Hey, I paid you good money to come out here. Give me something.

"I've got nothing."

Sheesh!

Calkewlated Chambers the third.... Are you serious? Your Grandfather was named Calkewlated, decided to name his son that. And then your father decided to continue the legacy of Calkewlated. Insanity!

Anyways, for those who don't know the origin of this name, Lendoris myself and a few other friends play a lot of rocket league. In this game of rocket powered car soccer, there are a ton of pre-established emotes. Sometimes during the game, the ball would ricochet in such a crazy manner that it would fly in to the goal incredibly unexpected. As soon as this happens, Most users spam the preset emote "Wow!" It's possible to rebind the emotes on rocket league to some other emotes, so I set mine to say "Calculated." However, Chambers the third and my other friend did not have this preset emote set up... So during the match they would begin typing out calculated instead of using the preset emote. At some point, one of them ended up misspelling it and it seemed to tilt the other players as well as make our friend group laugh at how stupid it is.So over time, it just ended up Chambers and some other friends typing the word calculated as insane as possible... and he wanted to bring that ridiculousness in to the NSFL.

Gotta pay homage to one of the OGs of awesome names in this league.

It's unfortunate that he's no longer active or a part of the Yellowknife Wraiths anymore, but it's the least I can do. ????

There's several names over the course of the last season that have stuck in my head. Obviously Calkewlated Chambers III was one of them, but since there was a whole thing about the origin on his name I'll choose another. I could go with Scrub Kyubee because it wasn't until last week I realized the pun in that, because I pronounced it Ky-oo-Bee and not Q-B. I'm special.

No, I'm going to go after another name. Former Otter Offensive Lineman, Shjom Finkelarkin. I don't even know if I spelled that right. Like what nationality is that supposed to be? How do you say that crap? Shjom. Those letters in that order do not register in my brain as a word. I've tried. Shajom? Shejom? Shhhh-jom? I don't know. And then you got that last name. Finkenlarkin. What is that? How does someone settle upon that name for their player? It sounds like an 80s buddy cop duo. The adventures of Fink n' Larkin! Tune in as wise crackin' Fink makes his partner and straight laced cop Larkin's job a living misery. That actually sounds a lot better than this last name monstrosity.

A few other names have made me say "Hmmm" too. Torque Lewith, since it's from a great comedy sketch from Key and Peele. Mat Akselsen is humorous. Not because there's anything wrong with the name, but it's fun to watch people butcher it and how frustrated Bzerkap gets at it.
