With the start of the season beginning tonight the hype is real. Philadelphia will be taking on the Orange County Otters in the season opener and there's a sigh of relief as both Marmeladov and Liberty were able to get an extension done. “Its definitely a relief, and ease of the mind as you don't have to think about getting a deal done in the offseason where you are not signed. This team has a lot of great guys and I’m really excited stay here and be with them for another 3 years. Plus with all that is happening else where it seems like this is the most stable team to be at”.
Marmeladov signed a 3 year, $6 Million dollar contract and he's hoping to be worth the money. “You always want to play good after you sign a contract and show the team, fans and management that you deserve this kind of money. I know last year I played okay not great and this year I want to change that and be near what I was in my first year in the league”. Arguably on the best Defense in the league Marmeladov sees a lot of competition and ways to get better. “Ohh for sure, what Lincoln Jefferson does I want to be better at and I think he thinks the same way as me. We push each other to get better and I think that's why we are gonna be sneaky good this season. Last year I think we were top of the league in Interceptions and this year we are gonna build of that success”.
