Currently the leadership of the Yellowknife Wraiths do not have access to the sim. It is not for sale on the site because they are trying to sell Draft Day 2018, and thus are no longer selling Draft Day 2016.
Not to be a pest, but it is a seriously unfair situation for the Outlaws to have a copy of the sim for testing that other GMs do not and can not have access to.
I respectfully request that the Head Office works on a solution to this problem to avoid further inequities in the league.

Sounds like the Wraiths missed out?
League opened up in May, it's been available up until recently. There's like 6 players on the Sabercats that have it?
Sorry if that comes off as rude, but the only way to fix it is contact the website and see if they can sell it to you.
EDIT: In my opinion, there's no way the league switches to 2018 as the season just started, even then, they will need a few people to buy 2018 and run a shit ton of test sims to see if its feasible.

we are NOT the only team with the 16 version. I love you guys think of us so much that you bring us up as the sole wrong-doer in something we had no influence over, really i do, but at minimum the SaberCats and Otters have access toi the sim, and i doubt theyre the only other ones

So, this isn't the tone I expected the post to have. Basically, members of our team had the demo, but not the real thing. The demo expired and the way to buy it was down.
No one on any other team did anything wrong. However, it would be greatly appreciated if this could be fixed so we can do test sims again.

And how do you suppose we fix it? Because your team didn't buy it, we all drop 16 and switch to 18 right now?
Seems a little crazy wouldn't you say?

I am hoping we can find a way to get access to 16.

I was in the same boat, I did not realize you can only test until Season 2 until Season 2 ended and it was too late to buy the 2016 version. I contacted Wolverine Studios about it and this was their response: "If you would be willing to purchase the 2018 version we could generate a non-purchased key for 2016 as well - I would suspect most if not all of the 2016 leagues will migrate to the new version at some point." It looks like it is still possible to get the 2016 version if you contact Wolverine Studios about it.

I guess I'm confused as to what you guys want the HO to do? At this point you should pirate or contact the company if you want it. The sim was $10 and available for the duration of the league until about a week ago. I personally bought it, and so did many others. Everyone had this opportunity and should have understood that the demo wouldn't work forever.
As far as getting over to 18, there are too many logistics to cover to just swap right at the beginning of the season. In my interview with @ErMurazor he said he's just started getting to know the new sim. We'll need to run tests and figure out how to incorporate new features. For the sake of the league this cannot and will not happen overnight.
There's nothing I personally know that can be done for you right now, except to take this as a lesson. If you're a GM and you want to use the sim, buy the sim.
