*(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - Kristy95 - 09-21-2017 Season 3 is here and I am back with your favorite article of the week: The team of the week! Slight change: On offense, I will now use 1 RB, 2 WR and one flex (RB/WR) because some weeks there aren't two good RBs but many good WRs. Team of the week 2: QB: E. Hunt RB: B. Tweed WR: B. Stormblessed - 3 returns for 86 yards, 31 yard longest PR D. New entries this week are S. Weston, C. Law, M. Boyd, O. Taylor, B. Walsh and D. Lavelle (he had been in there as a CB, not as a returner). Also interesting to note that B. Westfield had been in this team zero times last season but already twice in two weeks this year. Other players who have been in both teams of the week so far are: B. Westfield, A. Winchester, J. Tuck, L. Tiernan, L. Washington and P. Carter. Congratulations everyone. Edit: A previous version had B. Westfield as player of the week, but S. Weston's last second game winning touchdown changed my mind. GRADED *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - PoloPro - 09-21-2017 Love it I look forward to this every week, gotta say I think I did better punting but good article man! *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - Zoone16 - 09-21-2017 At first I was confused about this RB/WR denomination... but I'll take it? *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - ItsJustBarry - 09-21-2017 Nice write up. I would argue that Mike Boss' stat line is slightly better than Ethan Hunt and while Bradley Westfield had a great game, the 30 yard catch and run by Shane Weston to score the winning TD as time expired should make him Player of the Week. *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - Kristy95 - 09-21-2017 (09-21-2017, 07:17 AM)ItsJustBarry Wrote:Nice write up. All good points, I did not see the sim, but that is a good argument. I did see the boxscore and the TD with time expiring. I may adjust this. *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - Evok - 09-21-2017 ok now you are right to doubt wallace stone :hmm: *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - enigmatic - 09-21-2017 Holy shit I might be able to claim more than 2 milestones this offseason *(S3) Team of the Week - Week 2 - RedCydranth - 09-21-2017 So, because our offense is elite and our defense didn't suck, Westfield doesn't get player of the week. Cool. I'm just being a bit facetious, that game was lit. Weston's game winning catch was huge. I just think it's a little silly to reward a guy because his team couldn't dominate and needed a last second TD to win, he gets the nod as best player over a guy who had a better statline. If this was "Most Exciting player of the Week" yes, Weston deserves it. But this is "Player of the Week" and that is Westfield. I can also argue that Christiano Ronaldo was the better Kicker. 5/6 FG, 29,29,31,40,44 1/1 Extra Points. If you remove his points, the Outlaws lose. Walsh didn't help his team win. If Weston gets Player of the week because his score helps his team win, then Ronoldo gets this because he helped his team win. |
