*Homecoming – Part 2 - tlk742 - 10-05-2017 A while back, I started this series and then got buried with work, so I only got the Bailey Cook article on his return to San Jose, but I figured because I’m me I can do this one as I have some time. Darren Smallwood sits on the team plane after the Hawks Game, headed back to Yellowknife. He’s not wearing the blue and grey of the team that selected but the Green and Bronze of San Jose, and he’s wearing it with pride. I had the chance to sit down and ask the wide receiver his thoughts on the upcoming matchup with his original team. How does it feel to be headed back to Yellowknife? It’s weird, it’s a team that I started with and now I’m going to not hold back and plan to score a few times. It’ll be fun to play my third game there. Is there anyone you look forward to playing there? While it was fun to line up against Dermott in the preseason, Kevin Cushing is going to be who I am most looking forward to. I hear he switched to cornerback, so that team better hope that they can stop me, because I plan on stiff arming Cushing to the ground. Any hard feelings with the team after all this time? I went through this when I got traded, none at all. It was a football move and not my call. I just hope to torch them for days tonight so they can feel like they lost out on the great talent that I am. I will not lie, having to train across the great cornerback of Canton has been a huge step up in talent that I work against. What sort of reception do you expect out there?I think it will be pretty positive, though it might get chippy on the field, as both us and the Wraiths are vying for our respective spots in the playoffs. Thank you, and good luck out there. Thanks, and thank you for the interview. Code: 340 words GRADED *Homecoming – Part 2 - kckolbe - 10-05-2017 Are they letting you play RWR for this game? That would be sweet. I've only had scrub WRs to cover so far. *Homecoming – Part 2 - tlk742 - 10-05-2017 (10-05-2017, 04:14 PM)kckolbe Wrote:Are they letting you play RWR for this game?
