Las Vegas Legion Cap Hit and KCKolbe Bet - 7hawk77 - 10-15-2017
The head office has looked over the Las Vegas Salary for this season and they are over their cap by $2 million.

We have decided to assign a $3 million dollar cap penalty for the next season to Las Vegas Legion.
A 1.5 times multiplier is going to be the current punishment and penalty for breaking a salary cap. If a team egregiously breaks their cap, then it will be handled on a case by case basis.
We are also nullifying the Cushing Varga bet. @kckolbe can do whatever he wants, but the bet is officially off.
First off, The league reserves the right to deny any bet that seen as an attempt to circumvent any rule.
We've discussed and there are many reasons why this bet should be invalid as well as other reasons on why it could be valid.
We do not feel like bets where players are forced to leave a team or go to a team are healthy bets. We will prevent any bets of this nature in the future from becoming official bets.

Yeah. Does KCKolbe actually lose the bet if LVL didn't go over the salary cap? How can Varga hold up his end of the bet if he retired his player? Las Vegas won 2 games and won the bet so should it now be carried out?
Really you can argue for or against this in so many ways. The fact of the matter is it should never have been a real bet in the first place... so now it isn't.

It met the requirements, but it was different. I considered it comparable to a holdout. Ethically questionable, but interesting, and unlikely to become common enough to be a real problem. I thought that if Bzerkap (as my GM) or the HO REALLY felt it inappropriate, it would have been shut down.

That's fair, as long as Bzerkap didn't was also okay with it it seemed fine.
