“First and foremost, I’d like to thank you all for coming over here today. This has been an amazing journey and it’s really great to have so many people, I guess… care about me leaving. Everyone knew this was coming, as it is my senior year here. It’s a shame I wasn’t able to go out with a National Championship, but this means a lot all the same.

When I came to South Bend I came here for two things, football and an education. I wanted to make sure that I could get the best head start I could on my next life after football. In case I don’t actually get drafted, in case I flat line it up there in the NSFL, it was important for me to finish school. Now that I am coming up on my graduation, I think that my degree will be sufficient in the work force.

But you guys didn’t come here to hear me talking about what happens off the field. You’re here to support this historic program and see off another player. It’s really humbling to be placed in the ranks of other great Notre Dame alumni who have gone on to the pros. To be consider one of the best this school has ever seen is just mind boggling. I mean, seriously the history of this place is amazing and I’m just so humbled to have been given a chance to continue that glory.

Going to the National Simulation Football League is a dream of many players and I hope to prove my worth up there in the same way that I have done on the college level. But the game is going to be very different. It’s going to be the same climb that I’ve made all my life, but the mountain might be a bit steeper. What I can tell you is that I will work just as hard.

"I try to keep this family stuff aside, but Leroy is my cousin. He's been helping me out with prepping me for stuff like the draft, what to look for in the NSFL, and other things like that. I've known Dakota for a while now, ever since Leroy started dating her. She's a bit intense, but she's always been nice to me."

Your introduction into the NSFL as its first female player is extremely significant. Your presence in the league opens the door for other women to follow your footsteps and join the league. Do you see yourself as a symbol for other women or would you rather be judged purely as an individual?
