Noble Ruling - Sweetwater - 10-31-2017
This was going to be posted tonight to allow us to make all formal arrangements, but unfortunately the recent media article from ItsJustBarry has forced our hand.
It has come to the attention of the Head Office that action must be taken. While not possible to prove indisputably by the means we have available, we do have a litany of evidence that we believe indicates that the user Noble and the user dustyatters are one in the same.
The evidence is as follows:
-Shortly after Noble had been informed that his bank account would not reset upon recreation of his player, the user dustyatters joined the site.
-Within 3 hours of creation of a player, user dustyatters had: A ) created a 5000 word article detailing, with almost intimate knowledge, the entire DSFL season, history, and a full draft recap, B ) purchased all of his S4 pro gear, and C ) created an astonishingly perfect player update page.
-User dustyatters being able to immediately start a role as updater, despite being this being his first league.
-The users dustyatters and Noble are always online withing 10 minutes of each other.
-The language used in PMs with dustyatters are surprisingly similar to the language used by Noble in his communication history.
-When confronted, user dustyatters gave a response similar to previous excuses used in other leagues where user Noble is a known multi-er (best friend and/or neighbor who happens to share classes where they are provided computers) in addition to providing explanations for unasked questions.
-User dustyatters listing his recruitment as being from r/Madden then changing his story upon questioning.
-Finally, while user dustyatters was signed up for the site under a specific IP address, he has been seen posting with the identical IP as user Noble.
The Head Office believes that the evidence we have, combined with user Noble's history of cheating both in this league and others, that we must ban both the users and their known IP address(es) to preserve the integrity of the league. We strive to do what we believe is best for the league, And it is with that in mind that we have reached this decision. Noble has shown that when given an opportunity, he will exploit it. His continued violations of the rules show a lack of remorse, and go against all the hard work put in by loyal users who give their time and effort into making this league better every day.
The following is the official punishment:
- If a drafted player is banned before the season begins, that player will be ineligible for the season.
VI. Other
- No multis. If caught the multi will be deleted and the player will be subject to discipline
User Noble will be banned.
User dustyatters will be deleted.
The IP address used by user Noble will be banned.
The IP addresses most commonly used by user dustyatters will be banned.
Player Logan Noble is ineligible to play this season.
Player Dustin Atkins is ineligible to play this season.
The head office would like to thank ItsJustBarry for his help in this situation, but would ask that anyone helping with an official investigation into a possible punishment to please allow the Head Office to make the announcement first.

Yeah we just needed a little bit more time (maybe like another hour). The timing of the article rushed us more than we would have preferred, but it's not a huge deal.

Have we considered looking into the IPs and which VPN provider they come from in order to ban ALL IPs from that provider? It wouldn't completely prevent him from coming back but it might make him less likely to try a new provider.

We're looking in to blocking the entirety of Saskatoon just to be safe.

Wow, I know this is going to sound harsh but he just became my second favorite person in Saskatoon.
