*Otter Slaughter - timeconsumer - 12-09-2017
After three seasons of playing second fiddle to the dynasty of the Arizona Outlaws the Otters finally bring home the Ultimus trophy to the fans in Orange County. It has been a rocky road to this point, punctuated by several GM turnovers, high-profile retirements, quarterback controversy, contract holdouts--you get the point. The Otters organization has faced significant adversity since their inception at the beginning of season one, but have proven their resilience with their success in season four.
As a member of team leadership I would just like to take a moment to thank a select few people who helped us to achieve this ultimate goal.
@Molarpistols - You were what, our 4th GM in 3 seasons? You jumped into the revolving door of our front office and shined immediately. I have enjoyed every moment working with you on helping this team and these players see their hard work come to fruition. The team wouldn't be the same without you.
@JuOSu - For someone so new to this league you have been a great asset as both a player and a leader. I know you couldn't be around to watch the championship because of some RL social obligations, so I'm sorry we couldn't celebrate with you. But we have more seasons to go.
@JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - Boss man. Where to begin? Feels like you and I have exchanged a thousand PMs since draft day on how to make Mike Boss the best QB in the league and the Otters the best team in the league. We made it through one crazy free agency and came out the other side as champions. Your voice and enthusiasm in the locker room is something we couldn't do without.
@Bwestfield - I almost feel bad making this one so short but I already gushed about you in weekend PT #6. Thanks for being an awesome dude, a hard worker, and the best wide receiver in the league.
@DrunkenTeddy - The Quiet Storm. Although not the most talkative or the most flashy you are the most dependable and loyal guy both on and off the field. Love having you in our locker room and love watching you juking corners for an extra 20 yards. Never change.
@Jiggly_333 - It's been one hell of a wild ride. From a late round draftee to co-GM to DSFL GM to retired to recreated....my head is spinning. We set out this season to give Leroy Jenkins the send-off he deserved and we succeeded where everyone thought we would fail. I hope to play with you again soon, but if not, best of luck to you, you're a great dude.
@RedCydranth - The most under-rated corner in the league. Just an all arouind intelligent, hard-working and a nice dude. Another person who is easy to talk to in Discord and an ideal Otter teammate. Thanks for everything you do.
@automatic - You crazy fucker. With your holdouts and your cancer posts and all the rest. One week you can't shut up, the next you're on complete radio silence. Always keeping us and the league on our toes, and more importantly always wreaking havoc in the opponent's backfield. Crazy is good.
@BradtheMadLad - Do your PTs! But seriously how many guys are willing to come in and play offensive line becauise it's a needed position and then switch to kicker because the team needs it the most? Not many. A great team player.
@ralams123 The future. You missed out on the big season but you have proven yourself to be the Otters corner of the future. I love the work ethic and together you and the Otters are going to bring home another trophy soon. Thanks for sticking it out with us.
@BoltyMcSpeedy @Player1 @Roshambo - I miss you friends. I know things have been hectic and you've had to step away for a bit, but come back and see us again. You are all big reasons why we've been able to accomplish what we did this season, and truly exemplify the kind of people we want on the Otters.

Well played, guys. I would love to have seen the Wraiths bring it home, but it was a great game and you guys earned your championship. I think this is a good outcome for the future of the league (new champs) and look forward to more great games against you guys.

For sure! It's nice to see a close ultimus game for a change. Shows the league is moving in a good direction.
Also, we might have to stretch this rebuild out a bit. If it worked this well, I don't see any reason to rush it.

Thanks for the kind words, TC. This team is pretty special. We have a great team, great, GM and a fun locker room. It has been hectic past few weeks for many of us, and hopefully after this holiday season finishes, we all can get back to our usual activity in the Discord chat.
