Rien ne va plus for the Las Vegas Legion. After a wave of mass retirements from players frustrated with the NSFL, it seems that things are going from bad to worse. The league has been trying for the past couple of weeks to reach the ownership group and upper management of the Legion but they all seem to have vanished into thin air. How does a multi-billion corporation that owns a football team just up and vanish overnight? The team is now left with a bunch of signed disgruntled players who due to league rules must stay in Vegas.

Alexandre LeClair is one of the few active voices remaining in the team and he made it clear that he wants out of there. “I have a contract for 2 more seasons and there is no one to pay me what is due. I don’t think there is enough players for a full team anymore and even if we do get someone it’ll take years to rebuild the team into anything of worth”.

What is even more concerning though is the NSFL Head Office announcing the opening of Free Agency today. This means that effectively all the teams can sign players without a contract starting at 12:00 EST today, but without a solution in Vegas, players won’t be able to be signed there anytime soon.

For a team that had a prime location for a fanbase, settling in the city before the NFL could, there was everything in place for the team to be successful right out of the gates after the expansion in S2. Fast forward to today and rumours have already begun circulating that unless a new management group shows up the team could very well fold.

“At the end of the day it’s simple for me. The team folds and we see a dispersal draft, or a new management shows up and trades me for assets to rebuild this ruin of a franchise. If I’m stuck in Vegas by the start of next season I will consider doing the same thing as my fellow ex-players and retire.” The statement issued by LeClair has not fallen on deaf ears, as several franchises did say that if they could sign the wide receiver, or trade for him, they would do so immediately. But without an idea of what will happen and no resolution in sight this might be one of the toughest challenges the remaining players will face.

Yeah the whole things been a mess. Hope Legion can rebound quickly. Don’t think anyone blames you for wanting out.

I know this isn’t a presser, but do you have any top destinations in mind?

Loyalty is overrated. Especially when the team in dead. Heck if I got traded from here I'd probably be worth a few picks or something.

I would add SJS to that list. They have Weston, Jackson, and Smallwood.

Oh please, he couldn't manage a single TD against the Outlaws in the playoffs. He barely broke 450 yards passing.
