*Brian Mills DSFL Prospect Presser - PaytonM34 - 12-11-2017

Hey guys, Brian Mills here, i'm a linebacker prospect getting ready to enter my first DSFL draft this year. If you guys have any questions for me, ask away.

Quote:Which teams in the DSFL do you see yourself as a fit with the most?
Honestly I feel that I could fit in with any DSFL team with versatile skill set.Although, I would like to sign with a team that has an emphasis on developing an aggressive defense, with a healthy locker room. I don't care if the team has been perennial winners, or perennial losers in recent league history, because it will be my goal to improve whichever team i get the chance of playing with.

Quote:How has Mills been preparing on his way to the draft?
I have been studying the guidelines of the DSFL and how it differs from the NSFL which I will eventually want to move up to one day. Also i have been in contact with some of the DSFL managers to express my interest in joining their team. And as always, keeping up with regular drills to keep my body prepared for the next upcoming season.

Quote:Are there any teams you wouldn't want to play for?
In my opinion there aren't any teams in the DSFL that i feel are unworthy to play for.

Quote:What do you bring to the table in terms of skill and ability?
I like to pride myself on my thorough knowledge of the game of football, and my instincts when it comes to reading plays. I have been an avid fan of football since i was a little kid and all my life have been studying the game of football. Most of my improvement comes from within the film room.

Quote:What do you want to accomplish in your time in the DSFL?
I want to bring a championship to the city that gives me a chance to play in the DSFL. My focus for the duration of my career will be to go out there and find a way to bring that football back to my offense to give us a chance to put up points to win, whether it be from turnovers, or from 3rd down stops. I will also be working on improving myself and my game while in the DSFL to get ready for the NSFL. The NSFL has always been my career goal; making it to the big leagues.

Quote:What player do you look up too (real life or NSFL)?
Growing up i was a huge fan of watching Urlacher and Lewis play. They were the definition of fast, athletic, smart, and aggressive linebackers. They will always give me motivation to improve myself throughout my career. In recent years, I have been studying a lot of Kuechly's film, as he is one of the most balanced linebackers to be playing the game. You can learn a lot from watching other people's accomplishments and mistakes.

Quote:What do you like to do when you’re not playing football?
Even when i'm not playing football I still enjoy playing video game football. Madden has always been my go-to pass-time.

Quote:Do you have a certain team you’re hoping to be drafted by?
I would be grateful to any team that gives me a shot in the DSFL.

Quote:What’s your favorite NFL team? Do you have a favorite NSFL team?
I grew up a Chicago Bears fan. They have had such a history with great linebackers, it really gave me my motivation to want to play as one. Aggressive defenses who can go out there and punish quarterbacks in the pocket, and stuff runs at the line are really what gives a team a great chance to win.

Quote:Does your play style fit a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense better?
Honestly i think being in the middle of a 4-3 would be my best position. With my knowledge of the game, athleticism and leadership abilities, being right in the middle of the defense would give me the best opportunity to lead my defense. Although if i do get drafted by a 3-4 team, i will have no problem playing as one of two inside linebackers.

Quote:Whats the first area of your game you'll address? (speed, strength, tackling, etc.)
The first area of my game that i will address will be to develop the necessary strength to force more fumbles. I am a big believer that turnovers alone will give your team the win. Getting stronger and hitting more aggressively will be my focus, as running backs in this league are definitely going to be holding on to the ball better than the running backs I played in college.
