DSFL - GMs and Scouting - bagwell - 12-20-2017 It's draft day for the DSFL and 2 of the 4 teams haven't contacted me with any message about their interest in selecting me. 1 team waited until yesterday, but they had legit reasons why and 1 team (POR) expressed keeping me on their team as soon as the season ended and kept me in the locker room. A DSFL GM should be engaging with prospects as early as possible and they are basically rookie mentors. You are not doing your part as a GM if you do not send a message to prospects. I've reached out to a few of my fellow DSFL rookies and some of them only received one message from a DSFL GM as of today. You can guess as to which team that was... So I'm going to hold out for a trade, go without signing a DSFL contract until next season, or skip the DSFL and go straight to the NSFL if I don't go to POR in the first round today. I really hope the NSFL GMs aren't like this because it reflects poorly on the league as a whole. It also looks like the DSFL hasn't learned from past mistakes... Andre Bly Jr. As a call to action, I ask Head Office review the expectations and responsibilities of GMs and ensure that the responsibilities of the role are met. Also, I have PM'd 25 different prospects already. EDIT: And I know SA isn't as good a fit for you, so I don't blame you for preferring Portland, which has a good GM and a need at NT, but here is our PM history: Quote:Quote:Quote:Hey there. First off, sorry for the delay. My co-GM (Roly) disappeared the day of the championship, so I am a bit behind. Aside from just noticing I said "like the weight" instead of "lack the weight," I feel I made considerable effort to reach out, tell you about my team, and talk about your role in it. I agree that some GMs aren't doing their jobs (and they are getting blasted for it), but I also think it is damaging to declare mass holdouts and include teams that ARE making an effort. DSFL - GMs and Scouting - Keyg_an - 12-20-2017 I think Tijuana went on like a 8-0 run last season. I don’t know if I’d ever hold out on my boy Loco. I'm not saying anyone else is or is not doing their jobs but it seems unfair to judge all of them based off of your own anecdote. Again if other GM's are doing nothing then that absolutely needs to be fixed DSFL - GMs and Scouting - tbone415 - 12-20-2017 Completely agree. I would have liked the team that drafted me last year to contact me. DSFL - GMs and Scouting - PaytonM34 - 12-20-2017 Also have not been in contact with 2/4 teams DSFL - GMs and Scouting - RavensFanFromOntario - 12-20-2017 1 team has contacted me. That's because I'm bad. DSFL - GMs and Scouting - tbone415 - 12-20-2017 (12-20-2017, 12:20 PM)RavensFanFromOntario Wrote:1 team has contacted me. That's because I'm bad.Can confirm you are bad |
