Does anyone know why the maximum hands for the receiving back archetype are higher than for vertical threat TE, and the same as balanced TE? It doesn't make any sense that in the same game, the TE (so, a receiver) with maxed hands has 7 drops when a RB with non-maxed hands has 1.
Also I'm not asking about that game in specific. Is this weird archetype thing just another maddening flaw in the archetypes? I'm mad that I can't get my hands past 80.

I think it's a trade off type of thing, Vertical TE has a great speed max at 90. If the max hands were higher it would be an easy decision on what type of TE to be.

Probably because it's relative to the other TE archetypes would be my guess, they all have different niche roles. It's just a balancing thing
Possession TE has catching at 90, speed at 85, agility at 80
Balanced is at 85, 85, 80
Vertical is 80, 90, 85
So if you compare it to the receiver builds, vertical is closest to the speed receiver who has lower hands than all the others at 90 (other than route runner, which is also 90)
Idk it kinda makes sense to me
EDIT: RBs can be receivers too look at McCaffrey and sometimes Le'Veon Bell and Reggie Bush back in the day

I feel pretty comfortable answering this question.
Currently the tight end position is in a much better spot than the RB position.
TE archetypes are currently balanced against themselves.
RB archetypes are not very well balanced and will hopefully be fixed in the future.

Yesterday's game was a bit of an anomaly. I actually tend to average a few drops every game. Definitely more than I'd like.
