*Week 8 DSFL Power Rankings - Supersquare04 - 01-17-2018 These last few games weren't as weird as previous games. These power rankings are confusing as always so here we go. 1. (4-4) Portland Pythons (+1) Moving up into the number 1 spot for the first time this year, The Pythons managed to defeat San Antonio at home in week 7. They now have a receiver in yours truly who, leads the league in receiving yards by a long distance, is the leader in receptions, and is tied for leading the league in receiving touchdowns. The Portland trinity is in full effect, with Glenn McPoyal and and Blessed Storm both having strong days as of recently. The defense has looked stout, able to hold the Marshals to only a touchdown. Overall after a slow start the Pythons are looking to finish the season strong. 2. (3-4-1) Palm Beach Solar Bears (+3) What a statement week for the Solar Bears, they crushed the Coyotes and just...lets just say Norfolk did not leave very happy. The solar bears are on the upside of a 3 game streak, and have been proving that they are certainly a team to be feared. Despite a rough start, they have been recently dominating other teams. I expect them to slow down once the non bot teams start to pull ahead in TPE gains, but as for right now Fuller is just...stupid overpowered. 3. (5-3) San Antonio Marshals (-2) Although San Antonio dropped a bit they have a very strong case for the number 1 and 2 spots. Despite that I think that Palm Beach and Portland are still the better team right now. San Antonio could not get their running game to dominate as much as they would have liked vs Portland, only scoring one touchdown. Because of this they had to rely on the arm of Mike Vick more than they may have wanted to. For his first game however he played quite well and impressed me quite a bit. I am looking forward to seeing how this running team involves a mobile quarterback into the offense. 4. (4-3-1) Tijuana Luchadores (-1) This was a very close week for the Luchadores. They lost a heart breaker in Norfolk (in Norfolk is the only reason Tijuana isn't at #5 on this list). and then very nearly lost to the Pythons at home in overtime. The main reason I think Tijuana will still be very good in the post season as this defense is only going to get better. They have done a great job thus far and are almost carrying the Tijuana Luchadores. The offense is just not up to par and consistently put into great field position by the defense via turnovers or a 3 and out. They aren't the bottom feeders of the DSFL and can quickly reclaim the #3 spot on this list but they have to prove themselves, especially on offense. 5. (4-4) Norfolk Seawolves (+0) Staying at the number 5 spot sits the Norfolk Seawolves. they managed to edge out the Luchadores at home but fell to the Solar Bears 41-0, it was an embarrassment of a game and they need to do better if they want a chance at improving. Unfortunately as a bot team there is little chance they will improve (luckily KC is awful so they can stay here). Norfolk has bested Portland twice now and are hoping to continue the trend to make it into the playoffs. Unfortunately they are a bot team and will slow down when the playoffs come closer. 6. (3-5) Kansas City Coyotes (+0) Jiggly has yet to harass me about how I demoralize her group of Coyotes, after all I make fun of the dumpster fire of a sports city they are moving to (Chicago bears for the past 5 years anyone?). So I will continue to poke fun at them until I am yelled at. All joking aside there are still a few bright spots on this team (albeit not many). On the offensive side of the ball Borkus Maximus continues to bail the Coyotes out of trouble half the damn time with his Russel Wilson like elusiveness. The offensive front of the coyotes is utterly terrible and was exposed when facing Portland a couple weeks ago where Normal Bagwell had a field day. Maximus' elusiveness continues to make this offensive line look better than it truly is. On the defensive side of the ball Cordell Joshua is one of the few bright spots, but besides that the defense hasn't done much against opposing offenses. Portland lit them up for 30 a few weeks ago and Palm Beach almost dropped a 50 bomb on them. As far as I know this teams ceiling is finishing above the bot teams even that doesn't seem possible. 795 Words READY FOR GRADING Graded! *Week 8 DSFL Power Rankings - 124715 - 01-17-2018 Steve Fuller will only be allowed to play QB. Portland somehow never got to play against Fuller (every other team did, some twice) so I asked for Fuller to play OOP against POR. *Week 8 DSFL Power Rankings - PoloPro - 01-18-2018 (01-17-2018, 11:23 PM)kckolbe Wrote:They might get to cheat one more time.
