Edit: Actually since he was cut before the retirement post it looks like you got around that rule.

Yeah we did it first, told him about it, then he retired. Kinda surprised we’re still allowed to cut anybody after week 10 but :shrug:

Since you cut him, you have to pay half of his contract for the remainder of it's duration I believe, including the option you have. But only like 80% sure on this.
