The Las Vegas Legion have apparently disappeared. The team's locker room, offices, and equipment facilities in Las Vegas have been completely cleared out and nobody knows where they went.
In response to growing concerns over the gross mismanagement of the Legion by previous owners, the State Legislature of Nevada passed a bill yesterday which would allow the City of Las Vegas to seize control of the Legion via eminent domain. The mayor of Las Vegas is expected to exercise this power today to officially seize the team, giving the City of Las Vegas official ownership of the Legion. But the team is gone.
Multiple moving trucks were seen leaving the Las Vegas team facilities at about 1am last night, apparently in an effort to save the team from being seized by the city. After all, the government can't take your team if there is no team left to take.
The mayor of Las Vegas has dispatched the LVPD and requested state troopers to hunt down and stop the moving trucks before they leave the state of Nevada, but so far there has been no luck in tracking them.
When this reporter contacted the new Legion owner, who had only just bought the team last week, he simply responded that Nevada had "forced his hand" by giving Las Vegas the legal authority to seize the team. When I asked him where the trucks were going, he stated that he "had no idea" before giggling and hanging up.

I did too to be honest
It's unfortunate, but there's too much bad juju with the Legion between the retirements and everything. The goal is for this to revitalize the franchise
