Five For Five: 5 Reasons Reigns Goes Top 5[/div]
On Thursday, the NSFL Draft will commence and our founding eight teams will begin the process of building the core of their franchises for years to come. Very early in that process, JJ Reigns' name will come off the board. Some of you will wonder how the hell that happened, and better yet, who the hell I am? So, to proactively answer those questions, here's the five reasons JJ Reigns will be drafted within the first five selections on Thursday's NSFL Draft.
One - My Reputation Some of you don't know me and that's fine. Some of you do know me, and you'll agree with this first point. My reputation alone should absolutely make me a Top 5 selection, if not a serious consideration for the #1 pick. While I don't have a need to go first overall, I do believe my reputation and sheer track record with my players puts me in the very elite class of top draftees going into Thursday. By that time, I fully expect each GM to do their homework and agree with that statement. Though my actual track record as a Commissioner can be questioned, with a few unfortunate early ends to leagues I created, my work ethic, knowledge of the game and player development across every league I have committed to will become more and more apparent the more GM's look into my history.
In fact, very few teams I have ever played for hasn't gone to the championship. I impact my teams so strongly, we often immediately become contenders. My first league, the VFL, saw my Barcelona Bills go to the title game. My second league, the ABA, saw my Chicago Guard go undefeated. My third league, the SSN, saw ALL THREE of my teams go to the title in the same year and my fighter go undefeated. Redzone Supremecy league? My Aztecs were undefeated. SSN Reborn? My Dallas Bulls won the title. Molholt's last baseball league? My Omahak Kernels won the title. I've just accomplished pretty much everything I set out with in my SBA NCAA team, the Duke Blue Devils, winning last years title and breaking a ton of offensive record on the way.
So, I have one hell of a track record. I don't just play for my teams, I help them improve at a pretty impressive rate across several sports. My name alone - Shaka - should make it really hard for a GM to pass up, knowing I won't be around come the 2nd round.
Two - My Experience Nobody on this site has more experience with this game like I do. I'd venture to say, not even the Admins know this game like I do. That's because I've been playing this game since 2013, I've been player simming with it since that time and I have test simmed this game for more days than some of our player shave probably even known that player sims exist haha. I trailblazed the first PFS/DDPF football league, helping the developer cater some of the game to our league, and I can tell you up and down what the ratings will do and what to expect from this build, that position, and that strategy. That experience is priceless in this league. Someone will pass on me, and be thowing darts in the dark hoping to strike gold. The team who drafts me will have unparalleled knowledge into improving their roster and chances at winning. Nobody else in this draft can say that.
Three - I'm a Defensive Tackle If all that test simming has done anything for me, it's shown me that I will absolutely destroy at Defensive Tackle. There is a reason I never made it playable in my leagues and there's a reason I'm absolutely taking advantage of it in this league. If the admins catch on, they'll have to make rules just to stunt the DLine's advantage. If not, there is a serious chance I win the DPOTY award. With each team having 2 players already on roster, many on offense, defense will be a major priorty early on. You could draft a corner, wholl make some impact. You could draft a linebacker, who is a little interchangable in terms of just racking up a bunch of tackles naturally. OR you can draft Defensive Linemen and dominate. Who better to take than the best defensive lineman in the game? Exactly. In a normal league, every position is on the same level. With OL and DL available, it changes everything. While RB is easy, WR is easy, TE isn't very important, LB is interchangeable, CB isn't super impactful andS less impactful, defensive line will rule. That means Reigns Rules.
Four - I'm Going Ham I've joined the VHL before, and gave no fucks. I've joined the GOMHL and barely updated. That's because I wasn't into it. I committed to the SBA last year and went fucking ham. I joined the last baseball league and wen't fucking ham. I've commited to this one and am currently going fucking ham lol. So even if the first three points don't sell someone on JJ Reigns, the fact that I've already asked 100 press conference questions and maxed my point tasks and activity checks, should make Baller and his admins very happy. I'm here to reak havoc - I already am.
Five - I'm Already Trending If I'm good for anything, it's selling the shit out of myself, my teams and my leagues. Not only do we win A LOT, but we're often the most talked about team in the league. I mean, the first ever sim league I did was the VFL. I joined, went absolute ham and got drafted as a foreigner with no history 8th overall. In a diehard Madden league with a lot of lifers. I knew how to promote myself then and I know how to promote myself now.
Friday, I was just a name on a list. Today, my inbox is full. Tomorrow, I'll be in every mock draft. Wednesday, I'll have a PM from every GM. Thursday.... I'll go Top 5.
And then it's on to back all of this talk up.
