S5 Offseason DSFL Rule Change Summit Results - iamslm22 - 02-13-2018

These new rules are now going to become part of the DSFL as voted on by the Head Office and the DSFL General Managers.

1 - The DSFL Will now be divided into two conferences. The Northern Football Conference (Coyotes, Seawolves, Pythons) and Southern Football Conference (Solar Bears, Marshals, Luchadores)

2- There is no more DSFL Salary Cap. All Rookies will be paid a set amount determined by the Head Office.

3- DSFL Rookies are allowed to change their archetype or position for free once during their DSFL tenure. This does not count towards their career position change.

4- Bot players cannot win awards unless there are no actives at that position

5- There will now be offensive Line bots available to the DSFL - the TPE number to be determined by the Head Office prior to the start of each season.

All other proposals have failed.

I really like the position switch rule. I do imagine the switch has to be made or at least announced / committed to before the NSFL draft, though, right? Otherwise, people will just chase high TPE players and not needed positions.

That's my guess, yeah. "During their DSFL tenure." Maybe the deadline can be the trade deadline of their first full DSFL season? idk

I have to imagine the idea behind this is to let players play roles that are needed in the DSFL (such as QB) and then switch to something else if that's not needed in the NSFL. If so, then the player would want to maintain their first role through the play-offs.
