First let me thank for the questions SwagSloth . My nature is really competitive and I enjoy rivalries. Cornerback position is essentially one on one battle against wide receiver, it allows to me to stay focused on the duel. That of course doesn't mean I won't perform other duties that manager might order me - after all I got sack last game on our rush play. Particularly I wasn't interested on playing in offence formation, I'd loathe being dependent on quarterback. But there is some unique talent at QB in Fyodorovich family so who knows what might happen one day.

On occasion of this question I'd like to mention all DSFL teams with their managers and praise them for contacting me: Azhek_Ahriman of Kansas City Coyotes, jaskins811 of Tijuana Luchadores and PDXBaller of Portland Pythons. I believe if the turn of waiver claims placed me on any of these I'd be valuable addition too. So far Marshals locker is real jolly place. I have there what every rookie dreams of - encouragement - workout plan support, conversations and decent amount of all-around activity. Hopefully soon we will unveil new end zone, for which I submitted design. As for our on-field performance it's been nothing short of marvellous so far. We play with grit & grid mentality, featuring two different but really effective quarterbacks.

(02-24-2018, 06:46 AM)SwagSloth Wrote:What are your goals this seasom?
My biggest goal is to improve and make huge strides in every department of the game. I'm just starting to accommodate in the DSFL, but I've already improved most crucial areas of every good cornerback: speed, ability to handle the ball, spent a lot of time studying the game and hit the gym to improve both the strength and tackling potential. Team success is also important - I'd love to win first trophy Ultimini - it would be great prelude for the big league. As for personal achievements and accolades they don't matter to me as much, I believe teams in the draft look much more on the outlook and dedication of the player than some nifty set of numbers.

It was during my first game, when I got my first sack I heard it being screamed from the stands by PDXBaller. Crowd immediately picked it up and so have I. I hope it sticks, these two words captures and encompasses my nature really well.

Thank you for the questions PDXBaller. As a newcomer I'm not trying to set myself so far. I know they are better players, with huge experience and years of hard training, but I'm trying to turn it into an advantage. I study their game with unwavering concentration - this way I'll about their strengths but also how potential opponents try to counter them. In the future I plan to forge my own patch, but for now it's a smart move to focus on the best like Andre Bly Jr. who is only in his sophomore year, but already in the upper echelons of NSFL cornerbacks. I'd like to follow in his footsteps and have similarly successful rookie year in season 7.

(02-24-2018, 11:55 PM)PDXBaller Wrote:Which teams are you looking forward to facing this season?
All of them to be fair! I haven't got the opportunity yet to know a lot of them and definitely there aren't any rivalries yet, hopefully they will begun soon. Nothing ads a little of edge to the game like good old fashioned rivalry! There is some potential for them - I've already know some GMs including you of course - so far we had close defence focused game where we - Marshals - prevailed, but there three more games in the season and I believe intensity of them will only grow. I think there is some room for personal competition too, there is Desta Danger of Tijuana Luchadores another cornerback , who was claimed of the waivers just hours before me. This gives both of us perspective for comparisons.

That is a fantastic marketing idea - I'll probably get the design ready for next week and then I'll send you promotional one immediately!

It's real pleasure to answer all of your questions, this time it's turn of Roly. There are many fine players in NSFL, also at the cornerback position, but one player is paragon of excellence - Dermot Lavelle (White Cornerback). He participated in every Pro-Bowl and shown continuous domination at CB position that will be really hard to match. This season he started slow, but I doubt that this will stop him from going to the 6th Pro-Bowl. Only thing that is missing in his career is Ultimus Championship. I've studied his game diligently and hopefully this will payoff in ongoing season.

(02-25-2018, 02:38 AM)Roly Wrote:There were a lot of passing offends rookies selected in the S6 DSFL draft and claimed on waivers since. Any particular QB or WR you are looking forward to facing?
I can't wait until we meet with Kansas City Coyotes again. They have three very capable wide receivers in season two veteran Hunter Mason and 2 rookies: DeAndre Green and Howard Miller. In the first game we were able to suffocate their efforts allowing only 4.4 average yards per pass with no TDs. What's even more impressive is that in this game their only points came as a result of uncommon 4 downs play! There is other juicy target among crème de la crème of S7 rookie class:
Sam Penner of Tijuana Luchadores. Why him? Even though he has tremendous usage and offence runs almost exclusively through him he maintains decent efficiency. I want to be part of the defence that would truly force Luchadores to completely overhaul their game-plan.

(02-25-2018, 02:38 AM)Roly Wrote:How do you measure success professionally and personally this season?
My personal goal is to remain active and enthusiastic throughout the whole season. Hopefully we will achieve the ultimate goal of DSFL - Ultimini Championship. Crowning achievement of the year would be draft process where I could meet future NSFL team and choose one that would fit my future plans. As I said before I don't focus on individual accolades, for me real measure of success is team advance and locker room presence.

Really appreciate to have questions from the teammate @Daybe. It's been a real pleasure, you are definitely one of our main cogs posting amazing rating of 99.6 and passing 3 TDs with no interruptions. With such play on the offensive end there is a lot of less pressure on our defensive ranks, where I can slowly integrate. Your locker room presence also can not be overestimated.

(02-25-2018, 05:53 AM)Daybe Wrote:What are your goals for this season (Team-wise, individually)
I want to become integral part of the team that wins it all. I know that my position isn't destined for personal accolades (so far if I'm not mistaken not a single CB won end of season award), but still I'd like to fulfill my role the best way. That way I can try to distinguish myself from other defensive minded prospects when draft time comes.
