Announcing the NCT - iamslm22 - 02-25-2018
For a variety of reasons the NSFL has to have a fairly long offseason. We have two sets of rule summits. We're going to have regression shortly. We have to turn over the files, deal with updating, have two different drafts. One of the biggest complaints we've seen is that the NSFL offseason is long and boring. That there is too much time without football. Well we've heard you.
Other sim leagues have international tournaments. But Hockey and Basketball are international sports. Football is not. So what we have instead is the NSFL Collegiate Tournament (NCT). We are going to have 6 teams. The tournament will be a round robin. The teams will be as follows.
One team from the Big Ten.
One team from the Pac 12.
One team from the SEC.
One team from the Big 12.
One team from the ACC.
One team consisting of all other colleges.
Rules regarding player eligibility and other details are still to come.
However the reason we wanted to announce this is now is that we are hiring 6 people to head up each conference! We are taking applications from EVERYONE. That means current NSFL GMs, DSFL GMs, Head Office, and all other members of the site. This position will be paid but the exact amount is to be determined.

1 - Which College Conference did you player go to?
2 - Would you be willing to switch conferences to AD?
3 - What is your sim league experience (include any GM experience)
4 - Why do you want the position?
5 - Any additional information I should know.

Will it be a competition utilising all current NSFL players, DSFL players, new players, or a mix of them all?

This competition would be utilizing ALL players. NSFL and DSFL. The job of athletic director is fair self explanatory. You would be in charge or running your team. You would run the LR, you would set strats and DCs, you would hire your co GM and everything else involved in running a team. Additionally as league rules are set up HO will consult with you.

If it was a pool of all the players, I would assume ADs will just exhaust the list of NSFL players then grab what's left to fill the team from DSFL.
It would be cool if there was a mandatory 50/50 split. So starting WRs would have to be 1 NSFL and 1 DSFL.
I know that there's likely not the numbers needed to do it exactly like that, but having a quota for DSFL players (including starting roles) would be good

I mean players are in the DSFL for only one MAYBE two seasons. There are offseason prospect games for DSFL players. DSFL players will have the opportunity to play if they're playing for a weaker conference, but I don't think a quota is something we're considering.
