I know this is going to sound weird, but I really love snow. Although I grew up in the Dominican Republic, my days in Columbus at Ohio State really introduced me to snow. And then playing in Colorado, you bet I see snow constantly! Even with a storm on the way, I get pretty excited. I have a really awesome snowblower, you know? So I can just pop on my headphones, jam out to some Taylor Swift, and just have some fun clearing my driveway for a bit. But that’s not all! I know I have some older neighbors, so I take the time to clear all of the sidewalks on my block. It’s a good distance both ways, but I know that I’m helping out the neighbors and the people who have to walk through the storm to potentially get some supplies, so it feels good to help out. The only thing I really do to prep if a storm is coming is to get a few gas cans filled up for my snow throwing adventures. (177)

When it comes to storm safety, Colorado Yeti quarterback Nick Pierno knows that there's nowhere else safer than the Yeti's locker room in Denver. No matter how violently the winds are blowing or how hard the blizzard is raining down on the city, the locker room serves as its own oasis. With the heat always pumping, sound-proof walls and some of the safest walls out there, it's a great place for him to head to when a blizzard is incoming. Pierno tends to take an Uber and all he'll bring is a bottle of whiskey to crack open with the fellas--everything else he needs is already there: music, television, video games, WiFi, playbooks, ping-pong, pool, you name it. To be honest, Pierno actually kind of loves the blizzards, it provides a great excuse for he and his fellow teammates, many of whom also find safe haven in the Yeti facilities, to bond together.

When you spend a lot of your time in Colorado in the winter, you need to know how to deal with heavy snow storms. During his time with the Yeti, Boss Tweed has developed a strategy for dealing with snow storms. When a big snow storm hits, you can sometimes find yourself stuck in your house for multiple days. Because of this, Tweed makes sure to always keep plenty nonperishable food around, it can make a good snack anytime but it can be a necessity when a big snow storm strikes and you are either unable to get out or would prefer not to go out. You also need to find a way to entertain yourself. Tweed has a video game room with multiple consoles and many different games to play on them. With a good plenty of food and entertainment, Tweed is able to wait out major storms in the comfort and safety of his home without having to worry about the weather outside.

Antonio Sandoval comes from the city of San Diego, California. It is affectionately known as Sun Diego. Growing up, Sandoval was not used to storms. This all changed when he went to Notre Dame. In South Bend, they had something completely unknown to San Diego, defined seasons. Winter had snow, and with it snow storms. But there is nothing close to the Blizzards experiences in Colorado. When he first moved to Denver, Sandoval was half-prepared for blizzards. But now, he is a storm expert. He is ready and prepared for anything if disaster strikes. Sandoval is the first person any of his teammates call if they need supplies. Carlito Crush often does, as he is used to life in the sunny Dominican Republic, and is often light in his disaster planning. Nicholas Pierno does what he always does, drink and party, even if it's all by himself. This often means he is calling Sandoval for help. The only person close to Sandoval in planning is none other than the wise veteran Boss Tweed. But then again, Tweed is always prepared for anything.

I spent half of my childhood in Colorado when I wasn't in Spain. I'm used to all the crazy storms that we get, but thank God I am out of hurricane infested Florida. When I was at Florida, I had a moped specifically for running between lanes in clogged traffic. Who cares if lane sharing isn't legal there, when there is a hurricane on it's way, it's every man for himself. In Colorado, if there is a storm coming, it's not going to be warm enough to get out the ped. That's why I keep a snowmobile on my second floor. Regarldess of how much we get, I'm darting right outside my balcony and getting to where I need to get. Nothing can stop me in my quest. And for the eventual Armageddon/nuclear war, I bought a ticket for the Denver airports bomb shelter thing. I ain't taken no chances.

Get the generator running. If it's storming out, we're going to be playing games all night. Get the boys over in the garage and have a lan party. I'm a beast on the field, but just wait til you see me in a first person shooter. I have that killer instinct, ya feel? I know where threats are coming from, I give ocular patdowns, and address the threats immediately. I need my generator, my good snacks and adult beverages, and I'll weather out any storm. I'm not afraid of any super storm, because we all have an expiration date, if it's time, it's time. I don't mind being kept inside because of weather storms, it's kind of cozy, and nice. Don't have to work about work for a little while, can just relax and unwind. Playing in Baltimore, I might be exposed to some more hurricanes than out in Arizona, so I've got the supplies ready.

In the recent days as some of you know, Ireland had to deal with a pretty bad storm in terms of our recent history. Visiblity was pretty much zero and for a Lavelle travelling hom it was an overall horrendus experience for all. He aimed to get the first flight home friday night after the Yellowknife double header (both losses /shrug) but to his dismay the entire country of Ireland was on lockdown, no flights in or out. Lavelle unfortuanetly had to stay in the Yellowknife airport which isn't exactly famous for its comfortability and excellent service. You see in Yellowknife there are no cushioned seats or carpet in the airport, just tough wooden benches which underneath lies metal sheet flooring. In order to save money on a daily basis, heating in the airports are only active for a mere 2 hours a day meaning it often drops below 10'c often. After what seemed like an entire day of disturbances and waiting Lavelle finally got onto his flight home....only to end up stuck in knock airport with no way of exit untill the following monday due to the ongoing blizzard.
