Oles probably sets up some sort of Runescape game night. Well you’re wrong, Oles is an avid fan of Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and similar games. As such, Oles has become one of the biggest advocate for the team to have Nintendo Switch consoles and has even gone the distance to purchase consoles with Mario Kart 8. Now, in a competitive environment, tournaments quickly popped up in the locker room, trying to find the best of the best at the famous racing game, and well Oles has a lot of experience. Whether it was a Mario Kart 64, Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii, and eventually Mario Kart 8, he has always played these games. Add in that Oles was an avid Destiny player, who loved Sparrow Racing League, and Oles quickly becomes the favorite to win the tournaments and show his team why he is the best player in the locker room. (159 words) (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - 7hawk77 - 03-09-2018 The Sabercats know that Dan Miller loves games, especially games like Mafia (or werewolf), Secret Hitler, Avalon or any other hidden identity game. The problem with a lot of these games is sometimes if a player dies, they are eliminated from play, or if their identity is found out, they are effectively frozen out from taking any actions. This week after practice, Dan decided to bring a new game to the locker room called "Two room and a Boom". It has similar elements to the other secret identity games with a few twists. The main object of the game is the red and blue team. The blue team has "the president" while the red team has "the bomber". The blue team wins if those two roles are in different rooms after the third round. The red team wins if they are in the same room. Each room has a leader (voted in by majority) and at the end of each round, leaders exchange chosen hostages between rooms. Anyways, We ended up playing with the entire team after practice and it was a blast. Dan managed to lose the majority of games, but since each game only takes about 8 minutes to play, it was very enjoyable. The most notable game was when Chambers the third @Lendoris was on the blue team and in a room with all red players. He managed to convince them he was the president. Unfortunately Dan messed up and sent the president over to that room effectively throwing the game. 255 words. Twilight Struggle, the classic board game of geo-political intrigue and strategy. Blocksdale of course is the USSR, it only makes sense being on the Hawks and all that. Mat Akselsen of course champions the USA, as is natural. His blood-borne patriotism would allow nothing else. Akselsen is the paragon of goodness and vrtue, Blocksdale is the epitome of darkness and waterboarding. Can I make it any clearer? So far the score between them is tied at five apiece. Akselsen has set up multiple shield defense installations in Turkey and Blocksdale has groomed his missile silos in Cuba every time. The two are matched with equal parts intelligence and guile. Perhaps the game in Baltimore later this season will be the rubber match. Perhaps not, the only thing I really know is I've run out of ideas to type about. In Soviet Russia - Sim rigs YOU (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - timeconsumer - 03-09-2018 Angus Winchester loves beer. Angus Winchester loves competition. And Angus Winchester loves corn. Put all three of these together and what do you get? That's right, Corn Hole the Drinking Game. If you don't know how to play corn hole, too bad, go look it up. But the drinking rules are a simple variation on the standard rules. For every 3 point bag scored against you, you have to slam a whole beer. For every time you miss the board entirely, slam a beer. The game actually opens up with both teams having to do a relay shotgun where one player starts the shotgun first and when he is finished his teammate goes. First team to finish gets to toss the first bag. So as you can see it's very easy to go through a six pack or more in one game. This makes consecutive games very difficult to pull off as you're already three sheets to the wind after the second game unless you are a dominant corn holer. And that's why Angus is so hard to beat. Not only is he decently accurate at the game, but he has an incredible alcohol tolerance. There have been several witnesses to his 24 beer victories, and several victims who regret challenging Winchester and Clegane to a team match. (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - ExemplaryChad - 03-09-2018 Well, after a recent media expose, it’s no secret that I like to do some roleplaying. It can really take just about any form, from the classic Dungeons & Dragons to something more modern like superhero-based rulesets. So when we have some downtime in the Yeti locker room, I like to run some quick sessions for my teammates. It’s mostly D&D, but sometimes we like to change it up. We even occasionally get visits to our sessions from players on other teams. (They must have heard about my legendary adventure-running skills.) Dan Miller particularly likes to swing by when the Sabercats come to town. It feels kind of like World War I, where the soldiers ran out of ammo and orders, so they just sat down to play cards in between trying to kill each other. Anyway, I like to run games with some moral ambiguity, no clear good guys or bad guys, and I like to think that those lessons apply to life. It’s not so helpful on the football field, where we’re supposed to look at the other guys as the enemy, but IRL, it’s naive to look at the world as good guys and bad guys. I like to think I don’t just run roleplaying games; I’m handing down life lessons to these guys. Haruki Ishigawa Word count: 217 (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - bovovovo - 03-09-2018 Borkus Maximus III will be bringing tic tac toe to the game night. Why is Borkus Maximus III bringing tic tac toe to the game night, you may ask? The answer is simple. Borkus Maximus III is bringing tic tac toe to the game night because tic tac toe is a true strategists game and Borkus Maximus III just so happens to be a strategist at heart, and this is why Borkus Maximus III is bringing tic tac toe to the game night. You see, tic tac toe may seem like a simple game for Borkus Maximus III to bring to the game night but this is deceptive. Tic tac toe is actually a very deep, nuanced game and this is why Borkus Maximus III is bringing tic tac toe to the game night. Where do you put the first X? Where should the O go in response? Where does the X go next, does it continue on with it's previous strategy or does it react to the O? These questions are deep and meaningful and say a lot about the player, and that is why Borkus Maximus III is bringing tic tac toe to the game night. (197 words) (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - CDub2 - 03-09-2018 Game night would be very interesting with my fellow Wraith boys. Coming from a locker room of good noble Python angels, the Wraiths guys are a little rougher around the edges. Some say they're outspoken, others think we are multi-faced. Either way, it might be a little dangerous to play games where trust is a factor. My old Pythons guys Wachter and Crush would play by the rules, not so sure about my new guys. That's why I'm bringing a game like Secret Hitler or Werewolf. A game of deceit and lies. Something us Wraiths would excel at. guys like Er and Wozy would have no problem talking their way out of being a Nazi. That's child's play for some of these guys in the locker room. We are past playing Monopoly. We are done playing games. We are playing minds here. We are so far into mind games that we've decided to tank the first half of the season, only to come storming back and grab a playoff spot. Mind games baby. 173 words (S6) - Weekend PT 4 - Game Night - manicmav36 - 03-09-2018 (03-09-2018, 02:42 PM)Bzerkap Wrote:Blocksdale of course is the USSR, it only makes sense being on the Hawks and all that. ![]() |
