The S6 DSFL season has come to a close, with no shortage of standout performances from the players who make this article possible: the wide receivers. TPE, Attributes, and Post Tracker There is far and away one standout for TPE here, and that is Howard Miller. However, Miller admittedly had a headstart on the rest of the competition and even had some game time in S5 with the Luchadores. As such, it's fairer to compare the other receivers' TPE totals. Doing so, you see that Grau (@keanex) is on an island by himself. Catcherman (@cpetrella) is treading water somewhere off the island, but can't quite make the shore yet, and everyone else is getting eaten by sharks. Miller, Grau, Catcherman, and possibly Gore are the only receivers still active, so it's not surprising that those first three names fill the first three spots for highest TPE totals. Season Stats Totals Averages Miller was the standout for targets and yards, and both he and Catcherman average around 14 yards per catch - almost a first down and a half for every successful target! Grau finished as the highest scorer with 7 touchdowns on the season, followed closely by Green with 6. Catcherman had a respectable 4 touchdowns, while Miller struggled to put up points, totalling only 2 touchdowns for the season. Rankings 1. Howard Miller In my (heavily bias) opinion, Miller is not only the top receiving prospect for the S7 NSFL draft, but the top prospect overall. He has nearly double his nearest opposing receiver's TPE total, and barring his touchdown numbers (which are offset by his receiving partner's success), he showed the type of force he can and will be in the big league. 2. Mark Grau Beyond being the second best receiving prospect coming out of the DSFL, I'd rank Grau as the second-best overall offensive prospect looking to make the NSFL his home. I don't know enough about the defensive players to make a strong statement, but intuition (and my observations around the forum and during game sims) tells me Grau wouldn't be far off being the second-best overall prospect for the S7 DSFL draft. 3. Footballer Catcherman The use of a defibrillator partway through the season saw the Marshals' star receiver jolt back into activity, and left him only just behind Grau in my final rankings. Yes, it can be argued he had the superior season based on stats, but Catcherman's on-field performances weren't so superior as to wave away any concerns about his absence when compared with Grau's dedication. Nonetheless, I would say the top three receivers are all very strong picks. So, with the DSFL regular season in the books, who are your picks for the best receiving weapons?
