*This is more for me than you - Durden - 03-26-2018 So, my track record in the Not Safe For Life league isn't the greatest, even though I WAS a huge catalyst (if I say so myself) for some of the changes that sprouted here.... so I'm trying to figure out where I'm going in the DSFL draft. I had the 'heel persona' on my first team because, why not, but I'm wondering who it turned off. When I first created, the DSFL wasn't a thing, and I haven't paid any attention to the happenings the last 4 seasons other than being inactive and winning championships. I did rankings on LOGOS, COLORS, and NAMES, but that's literally the ONLY knowledge I have of teams here, other than random snippets I've learned from that article. I DO want to be active here, but it's all about the people on the site, and specifically in my LR that will keep me around. That, and seeing my player do well. It's a driving force, definitely. If I'm not in a place where it's a good fit, or I'm on the bench the entire time, I'll probably zone out. With a week and a half (why so loooonnngg) until the DSFL draft, I wanna know what GMs are thinking. Am I going to be a late round steal again? I went 78th with Durden and was a top 5ish back, yet still played second fiddle. Understandable, I suppose. Is someone going to take me based on my track record elsewhere, and maybe I go in the first couple rounds? I'm not sure. At all... so.... GMs, I'm calling you out! @PoloPro, @AzhekAhriman, @PDXBaller, @jparks98, @Roly, @jaskins811 *This is more for me than you - jparks98 - 03-26-2018 With the Xth pick in the season 7 DSFL draft, the Norfolk Seawolves select... *This is more for me than you - nunccoepi - 03-26-2018 I haven't completely looked at the DSFL eligibility spreadsheet, and nobody will know until the NSFL draft and decisions on who is being sent down to the DSFL are made, but just a rough guess based on what I've seen so far, I think we might have 3 or 4 rounds of meaningful draft picks in the DSFL draft. And WR's are always a position of need for teams, but especially in the DSFL. So, as long as you stay active, I'm sure you'll have a good spot. I'm one of the GMs for Tijuana, by the way, along with @PaytonM34. jaskins stepped down as our GM this past week. *This is more for me than you - Roly - 03-26-2018 So far there's 10 prospects: 2 QB, you as a WR, 3 LB, 1 DE, 1 DT, 1 S and 1 K. Like @nunccoepi said, there's a lot of aspects to the draft that might change in the next couple days. NSFL drafts and send-downs, plus potential offseason rules changes regarding IA eligibility. Plus recruitment is ramping up and new creates should start arriving soon. Regardless you're a top prospect in our books. Your active and engaged and know the site, plus multiple guys have vouched for you. Unfortunately the Marshals don't pick until #8 since we have to use #4 on Ramero as our new co-GM. That means I think we're unlikely to be able to grab you unless you fall significantly - or unless a tonne of amazing new rookies join in the next week (fingers crossed). So tl;dr: I think you're a high S8 prospect in the current draft cohort. Unless available rookies shift dramatically, its unlikely that you fall to us. You'll definitely won't be benched in any team though. WRs blow up in this league and are big contributors. *This is more for me than you - tlk742 - 03-26-2018 we tried to talk to you in our discord, you didn't say much ![]() *This is more for me than you - Durden - 03-26-2018 (03-26-2018, 09:48 AM)jparks98 Wrote:With the Xth pick in the season 7 DSFL draft, the Norfolk Seawolves select... Is that why the draft is so far out? Just waiting on NSFL draft and send downs? Sheesh that's a long time. I don't like the Marshals concept at all, but the message and this response move them up the desirables list to be honest. IDK who'd vouch for me, but yay, haha. You have to use a first on GMs? Jesus that's rough. Other leagues is a 2nd. I didn't really think I'd go top 8, so maybe there's a chance. I came in with the same track record and less activity concerns before and went 78th >< so who knows.... I also rarely talk in discord. I'm 31. I'm either with my wife, or playing games. I don't usually sit at a computer with discord open, and if I'm home I really don't need my phone near me. I don't think any of the positive changes that have happened were implemented at that point of my career. The word count payout and training cost was a huuuuge detraction from this league. Glad it finally got sorted out. Thanks to the GMs who have answered my questions. Definitely makes NSFL look better in my eyes. ![]() *This is more for me than you - iamslm22 - 03-26-2018 (03-26-2018, 11:24 AM)Durden Wrote:IDK who'd vouch for me, but yay, haha. . Meh, if people take offense to LOGO rankings, and TEAM NAME rankings, they're gonna have a bad time in life. Those are probably the teams that I don't WANT to be on in that case. I'm not cancer at all. I just speak what's on my mind, but try to not get it personal. IDK many people... but the butthurt from the logo response is laughable. |
