There's a lot going on right now, so it seems like a good time for a presser. I'm position changing to WR, introducing a new player / character, and bidding farewell to RB Eric Kennedy after his 5th season in the NSFL. I'm also entering my 3rd season as the Wraiths Co-GM. Ask me anything.
This will primarily be an OOC press conference, but I'll answer in-character for Kennedy or Thomas if requested.

For purposes of Career Stats and HOF and such would you prefer Kennedy be viewed as Booker? Or two separate entities?

Yeah that's what I said. And I was saying it was confusing. So I was saying it'd be good to do it. But I was also saying it was just my opinion.

Or two separate entities?Character/media-wise, I'm treating him as a separate entity. However, I'm okay with the records treating him as one player if it's too difficult to treat him as two players. I guess I technically prefer two. Outside of S5, when he played slot receiver all year, most of Kennedy's career wasn't particularly HOF-worthy and even that is a bit tainted due to what we now know about the sim. As much as I enjoyed Kennedy's run, I really don't expect his 5 seasons to be that memorable.
The plan is to get several seasons out of Thomas (well beyond regression), so he should be able to put together a strong career with or without the stats from the Kennedy years.

The difference between this and other names changes is that I'm specifically treating it as a new character. As far as I know, it's the first time this has been done with a player and it may turn out to be the last if it proves too troublesome. I'm willing to be the guinea pig, though.
There are a few reasons behind the move:
(1) I've always been attached to Kennedy as a RB and had reservations about position changing, even to a similar position like WR. He's known for being a receiver, which is fine, but that was never my initial plan for him, just the role that he ended up falling into. (I didn't know Nuck was going to go IA when I went receiving back. Otherwise, I'd probably have gone speed or multi-purpose, so I could focus on being a pure RB.)
(2) The massive success in S5 that came as the result of the sim favoring RB receivers tainted the Kennedy name. Moving to a new name and position will hopefully lead to a fresh start. (Also, per my response to slm, I'm fine with excluding my S5/S6 season stats in HoF decision-making.)
(3) I was actually considering legit retiring Kennedy at the start of S7 to try something new. This was a way for me to "start over" without directly harming my team. Admittedly, this is probably me trying to have it both ways, but I thought it was a creative solution.
