Deadline: Sunday Night, April 15th, 11:59 PST (S7) - Weekend PT 2 - Friday the 13th - Oles - 04-13-2018 One day I was traveling, my car broke down and there was no one around. With no method of contact I tried to find my way to a main road. I spotted something stalking me as I walked the edge of the woods, what looked like a man, but acted like an animal. “Bigfoot isn’t real” I said to myself, before realizing this shadowy figure was following me. My heart started racing, as this man-beast started in a sprint towards me. Panicking I made my way through the trees around me, narrowly avoiding branches and vines trying not to be caught by this monster. I looked around and couldn’t find him, I thought I was safe, but now I was hopelessly lost in the forest, left wandering aimlessly through the trees. That’s when I saw it, a cabin, not far ahead, it was the best chance at getting out alive. I made my way to it, eventually reaching the door, it was cracked open, and as I slowly creaked it forward I started to see blood everywhere, and eventually I saw this figure that had been chasing me, taking a bite out of a dude’s leg. This beast of the woods attacked, and it was then when I saw the man’s face, it was none other than actual cannibal Shia LaBeouf. One day some players decided to put a SPOOKY SKELETON in Borkus Maximus III's locker. You see, Borkus Maximus III once confided in some teammates about how spooked out he was at the thought that in every single human body beneath their skin and muscles there is a SPOOKY SKELETON and this terrified him. Confiding this in his teammates was a mistake. It wasn't long before they hit a SPOOKY SKELETON is his locker. When Borkus Maximus III saw this SPOOKY SKELETON in his locker he completely freaked the heck out and had to be taken to the hospital because he had a severe panic attack and his teammates were worried that he was having a heart attack. Borkus Maximus III has never been the same since then, and every time he sees a SPOOKY SKELETON he has flashbacks to that fateful day. (159 words) (S7) - Weekend PT 2 - Friday the 13th - Durden - 04-13-2018 My scariest moment came the other day when I got into the locker room and no one was there. I got to practice a bit early this day, so I understood why no one would be there, but it just got weirder. I initially didn't think about it too much, so I started getting ready for the day. A lot of stretching, a quick protein shake, the usual stuff. After a half hour went by, people started to show up. But the odd thing was, no one was talking to me. No one even reacted to me. Everyone I talked to just ignored me, and if I happened to bump into someone, they bounced off and kept going like nothing had happened. No one even made eye contact. I went to coach's office, and he wouldn't talk to me either. He just kept having a personal conversation with his wife on the phone, so I just excused myself because that wasn't something I wanted to hear more of. Then, I started hearing the voices. I kept hearing, 'just move on' and 'you need to let go'. Then more and more voices of, 'this is all just like a dream', 'it's just a dream', and 'wake up'. This went on for an HOUR. I thought I was dead, or dying, or in a coma. Luckily, Brad Pennington threw a ball at me and as it hit me and bounced off said, "nice hands, Squanch". Those jerks played a joke on me. Scariest day of my life, thinking I was dead. (S7) - Weekend PT 2 - Friday the 13th - Bwestfield - 04-13-2018 Bradley Westfield had a very scary encounter on Friday the 13th. Him and some friends decided to have a night out on the town back in high school. They were visiting the local Denny’s and having some beers in the parking lot after filling their bellies on greased delights. After a few hours they thought it would be fun to go over the cemetery and tell stories. Stories about Ghouls and Goblins. He and his friends told stories and scared each other and decided it was a good time to leave. On the way out Brad had fell after he tripped on a gravestone. It was at that point that he looked up and saw several people surrounding him. Hooded figures all pointing fingers at him. His friends were nowhere to be found. He went unconscious and woke up in bed. He has never spoken of the incident since. A scary day for some and a normal day for others. As such Friday the 13th has become a day for scary events, or just unlucky encounters, to run rampant, even if nothing actually happens. Tell your scariest story, scariest encounter, or anything that seems to relate. Friday the 13th has nothing on this story. In fact it was November the 16th, otherwise known as the day when Yellowknife's disgraced GM @Bzerkap made the harrowing decision to send pictures of his legs in the Yellowknife Wraiths official discord, a decision that not only made himself enemies with the NSFC's best corner back Dermot Lavelle but also his agent Tomred Elleval. Lavelle looked to be on his way out of the franchise during S5 when he picked up his handheld device late at night only to be disgusted by the sight, sources close to the franchise have said that since then they have patched up their relationship, which is indicated by Lavelle's recent 10 year extension to Yellowknife. Worth noting is the player option that hangs over Yellowknifes head in this contract, one wonders if Lavelle will exercise this option should another picture of the disgraced GM's legs appear in the official discord. (S7) - Weekend PT 2 - Friday the 13th - AsylumParty - 04-13-2018 "Don't you ever feel like things are out of our control?" Evans and Law were lined up catching balls from Borkus at practice the other day when the monotony got to them and their minds started to wander. "What?" Law laughed at the ill-timed conjecture. "You've played the sims, right? I mean, something like that. For all we know, we're the product of someone's imagination, plugged into some shitty football sim, and as we know it, the world outside is also a construct of someone's imagination." "You know that there's a team therapist, right? It's free," Law replied with a nervous smile. "I'm not crazy! I mean, think about it, there's a guy named Poopyface Tomatonose on the team. That doesn't strike you as unrealistic? "Sure, man, I guess it's a little weird. But he probably just had some weird parents." "Do you even remember what we've done over the past several weeks? The last thing I remember is practice yesterday, and the day before, and the day before. Did we ever go home?" "Hm," Law wonders. "These offseasons tend to blend, ya know?" "Why are you so resistant to admitting this all seems a bit weird, man? There's no way you don't see it." "Hah, maybe someone is just writing my script right now? What's a good story without conflict or dialogue?" The two receivers stare vacantly at each other as the camera pans out, farther and farther. Solemn piano music grows louder, louder, louder still. "Hah, gotcha!" Dustin Evans interrupts the tense situation with an obnoxious laugh. "Nice," everyone on the team, even those out of earshot, say simultaneously. One spooky night, Carter Bush and several of his friends decided to venture out to an abandoned house on the outskirts of their town. They left in two separate cars, and as this was before the time of smart phones and cameras being incredibly accessible, each car had a walkie talkie in it so the two groups could communicate. During the car trip, the two cars were easily able to talk to each other over the walkie talkies. However, as they pulled up to the abandoned house, the walkie talkies stopped working. The group in the first car would go in the house, while Carter Bush and the second car would stay outside keeping watch for anyone else coming to the abandoned house. As the first group enters the house, the second group can see their flashlights shining through the broken and boarded windows of the abandoned house. Suddenly there is a screech over the walkie talkie, that had not been working to that point. Then a little girl’s voice comes over the walkie talkie and shrieks, “GO AWAY!”. Immediately afterwards the walkie talkies worked again, the first thing the group in the second car heard was one of our friends on the inside saying “....weird to see this little girl’s red dress hanging up so neatly in this destroyed house…” Carter Bush and his friends that stayed outside asked the guys inside if they heard the little girl’s voice, they said the did not... (S7) - Weekend PT 2 - Friday the 13th - Bzerkap - 04-13-2018 Ummm I don't know really. I honestly have a terrible memory and can't recall anything super spooky happening in my life. It's kind of a blessing and a curse really, cuz I never really get too mad about stuff that happened before cuz I really just can't remember, I just don't give a shit. So I kinda take everything in stride and am generally very laid back and forgiving. But then the downside, I can't remember shit. Oh well. I guess I'll make up a story. As some people know I work for da gubbamint doing lots of cool shit. Actually it's not that cool, I'm just a code monkey, but I do have basically 100% control of all my projects which is very nice. So, I can kinda do stuff how I want as long as it works well. Anyway, I was coding away and staying late to try and get something to work properly. I just finished it and hit compile, the usual 900 warnings popped up, but no errors. Great, I thought. It will compile and those warnings can go fuck themselves. So it succeeded and I started the program. Everything was working fine until I clicked a button in the GUI and it would crash immediately. I scoured the code for the culprit, not finding anything. I went through line by line and found it. A missing semicolon. But how did it compile? This isn't some bullshit like python, this is C++ a man's language. The answer was clear, the compiler let it go just to haunt me. SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKY |
