Oles has been on the God of War hype train since the newest iteration was announced. With it releasing this past Friday some say he hasn’t put the controller down, forgoing all other concerns to beat this masterpiece at its hardest difficulty possible. An avid gamer and avid story fan, Oles has been preaching about how good the game is to everyone, and even stating that it might be better than last year’s hit, Horizon Zero Dawn. Oles was huge on Horizon hype train as well, and just like that game, God of War has not disappointed, as it’s the early favorite for Game of the Year and has plenty of good reasons why. A vast departure from the God of War games we know, we see Kratos in a whole new way, following via 3rd person perspective, which is extremely different than the hack and slash overhead view we have gotten used to. The game has made the transition well, as combat feels wonderful and the story is amazing, along with a beautiful setting and God of War has been seen in a whole new light. (187 words)

(Seriously, if you are on the fence about God of War, get it, it is fantastic and it’s my Game of the Year already. Going into the Norse setting for Mythology works wonderfully, and it is a thrilling first part of the game.)

It is no secret that Turkleton is an avid anime watcher. Many stories of his anime watching shenanigans have been released to the public and he even has he own charity in which he provides anime for the animeless. Recently however Turkleton has also delved into the magical world of coin collecting. Nothing gives Turk a bigger rush than finding a penny from the year 1857, a year noted by a huge shortage of copper, so this penny is actually made from clay. Or the kick he gets when he hears the sound of coins in a bag hitting each other.

Turk has slowly started growing his coin collection with the money he makes playing football. He has an entire bookcase dedicated to maps cointaining (haha) all his coins. Turk is also a front runner of a group of people trying to get specially made NSFL coins. Coins which will feature many differnt players which can be collected and bought for the sick price of 5 dorrah a piece.

I’m a big fan of horror movies. That’s not to say I like all, or even most, horror movies. I like GOOD horror movies. And there aren’t very many of those, sadly. Too often, the genre just churns out schlock: “homages” that are just the same old things, rehashed. (Looking at you, zombie genre.) Ridiculous, over-the-top premises that are so unbelievable as to be complete nonsense abound. Terrible dialogue, bad directing, unconvincing antagonists, slow or fast pacing… They’re all far too common in the genre. (This isn’t to say that all of these are specific to horror; they most certainly are not.)

But the horror movie that got me into horror movies, the one that changed my perspective on what movies could be: The Ring. It was so scary and so groundbreaking in the US. It started a trend of Japanese horror remakes in the West, and it got me interested in Japanese horror in general. Horror is so good when done right; I just wish it were done right more often.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is one of the greatest movies ever made. I am going to try to sell you this movie without spoiling it, if you haven't seen it.

The movie stars Kate Winslet who plays Clementine who is something of a wild child who is spontaneous and impulsive in her decisions. She is quirky and dyes her hair bright colors.

Jim Carey plays Joel Barish a rather quiet and plain man who lives a more conservative "stay-at-home" lifestyle.

Through a series of events displayed in non-chronological order, for the most part, you see the nature of their relationship unfold and learn that they're destined to be a tragic series of repetitive heartbreaks.

This is a movie that will wreck you. The first time I finished it I felt numb. It affected me emotionally. It also begs for repeat views to catch carefully placed details.

Give it a watch.

While not a movie or a “once in a generation gaming experience”, reading James Comey’s “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” has been fascinating. It is rare to be able to get the type of perspective that James Comey has as such a recent former FBI Director. His insights into what makes a leader are inspiring. Comey has worked with Presidents and even saw himself reach the highest level of leadership in United States Law Enforcement. From these experiences, he is able to easily craft, what in his opinion, makes a leader. It is truly a very interesting read and every American could use a refresher in what a leader looks like. Hopefully “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” is able to bring our country back together, beyond partisanship, and we can all examine, discuss, and agree on what type of leader we want representing us to the rest of the world.

I love movies, but there's something about video games that makes them different from movies. They allow you to interact with the characters. This new element allows you to form more of a bond with characters than movies can ever afford. The single game I've seen do this really well is The Last of Us. This is the one game where I've really cried at anything, or gotten actually angry. Watching Sarah die, watching Ellie sob as she stabs her attempted rapist. This is so impactful because I've lived every moment of her hardship with her. It's crazy how attached you can grow to a character in a game, to the point where by the end of the game you're yelling at the screen in front of you "There's no damn way you're killing her for some bullshit vaccine. Something that you know could save humanity, but she's all of the humanity that's left in Joel. It's just an incredible story.

If it was difficult to tell, I'm a huge fan of Fight Club. It came out when I was just 13, but I had an older sister who talked to me about it and I watched it when I was 16 or 17.

I immediately fell in love with it. As a movie, I just called it messed up. But in such a good way.

I really think it's an intense look into the human psyche and really delves into just how broken people can be, and the humanistic need to connect.

I take a look at the movie and wonder how things could've changed, and how every little thing that occurred had some long reaching impact. I try to look into this movie not as a mirror to my life, but an insight into people and into myself.

Are we inherently broken? Are we all yearning for something that maybe we can't put into words? Are we looking for a way out of what we've molded ourselves into? Does that take suffering of self, or of others? Should we accept who we are, or strive to exist and be content with less than what we have now?

I try to be the best I can be, while accepting that I have a lot to work on. I think it really boils down to less possessions and more experiences, and keeping those around me who truly care, and don't just want something out of it.

This doesn't fit the description, but I'm running with it anyway. My favorite type of entertainment isn't actually man-made, it's made by nature itself. There is nothing more entertaining than going to a state or national park and enjoying the splendor of the world around you, all alone or with friends and family. There is everything from hiking to camping to kayaking to fishing and a thousand of other great experiences to be had, often for little or no money at all. All it takes is some shoes, a bottle of water, and a sandwich and you can spend hours in a state park that is probably closer to your house than you realize. I like to hit the trails at the north georgia parks and enjoy a few miles of walks in the woods as the trail winds past creeks, waterfalls, up hills, and down into valleys, all the while without hearing a single manmade sound and enjoying the company of my best friend, a pit bull mix named Goose.

On many nights the Yeti locker room gathers around the TV. Everyone is silent as they wait for the gm to exit the room. And as soon as he does Crush busts out the controllers, Dwayne Aaron gets the beer, Micycle plugs the xbox and playstation in, then they get to having fun. 'Yeti gaming night' is a truly awesome experience that all Yeti players love to participate in. They play a multitude of multiplayer games including but not limited to, Fortnite, COD, Halo, NBA 2k18, madden, definitely not minecraft at all....Anyway the Yeti players usually wake up the next morning absolutely exhausted with a horrible hangover. Sometimes they don't even go home. You wouldn't believe how many calls the wives or girlfriends of the Yeti players give Matthew Vincent @sapp2013 asking where their man is. While Vincent may not agree with what they do, he understands that it creates great chemistry between the players
