*Gambino: Coming to an NSFL Team Near You. - Renrut - 05-13-2018

When I first came to this league with Gambino, I had no idea what to expect. I had heard rumblings of it, some good and some bad, but I figured it was about time I checked things out for myself. Initially I was overwhelmed. When you are so used to set ups of other leagues and then to come to a new place where it is completely different, it can be slightly challenging to find your way around, and to know exactly what you can and can not do on a weekly basis. That is funny to me because I got irritated at people saying the EFL was hard to navigate when I thought it was insanely easy. Now I come here and I have, well had, the same feelings, so to those I got irritated with, I apologize. Anyways, now I have grown accustomed, for the most part, of how things operate around here and I am finding myself liking it more and more. It is still weird to me that you can earn money on side articles and graphics, but it is unique. It is a fun and different way to keep earning your money and sustain equipment and training on a season and weekly basis. You will be the reason you run out, and you will be the reason if you have always have excess. That is a cool concept. Anywho, I digress. Let us get to Gambino.

Now that I have grown accustomed to how things operate around here, and finding myself liking it more and more, my tpe numbers start to grow, and teams start to take notice. I am a Sim league vet. I have been in leagues off and on since early 2004. To come to this league and not be noticed or recognized was a weird feeling, but I enjoyed it. It was like I was starting fresh. The vibe initially was one that because I was not “known”, people strayed away from me. Kansas City took the flyer and it has been a memorable run. I like my teammates, I like the General Managers, and the fact that we make noise these past two seasons in the regular season and playoffs obviously leads to More fun as well. Now that the draft is fast approaching, many more teams are starting to come talk to me and pick my brain on my plans. I have never turned my back on a team and I do not plan on doing it now. I am absolutely looking forward to this draft, and the curiosity of where I will go that comes with it. I never shy away from a challenge, so if the Colorado Yeti should call my name, Let’s go! I love a reclamation project! If I can be the piece of the puzzle that helps push them over the hump, that is a very rewarding feeling. Working toward that goal After being so down for so Many seasons is very, very rewarding. If the Otters, who dominate the league, call my name, I am going to happy with that as well. I want to prove to any team that takes me that they have made the correct choice. My player is Childish Gambino. He is a defensive end, and he is coming to an NSFL team near you in the very, very near future. Prepare yourselves.

Some teams have not contacted me yet, I do not know if that is by plan that they think they will not have a chance to Draft me, or they do not even want to draft me, but trust me, you will not be disappointed if you call my name on draft night. Talking ahead of time hurts no one, so if you have some qualms about me, let’s talk. Let me reassure you that I am a good fit for you and your team. You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.

And if you do not want to draft me, that is cool too, and I will not hold it against you, but I will pull a Josh Rosen and tell you that you have made a mistake. Do not do it! Gambino out.

Yes, I was at the tail end of the first MSFL, but a vital part of the entirety of Reborn and V3.

Nice write-up. Definitely cool to see things from the other perspective. I joined SBA/EFL (which use the weekly cap system) probably about 4-5 months after NSFL and, to be fair, I was confused by both styles at first. So, I guess that's just the nature of things. I'm a little more partial to this style personally, but it was also the style I experienced first, so I'm sure that factored in a lot to be fair. I'm still a supporter of both leagues, though. It's more football sims for everyone to enjoy and it lets us experience the chance to play at different positions.

As far as your player, I definitely didn't know who you were at first, but I have to imagine going incognito had to be a nice change of pace. Your player was able to build a reputation on his own and I think it's a good one. Gambino is a strong adfdition to the league and we're happy to have you among us.

Some teams haven't started contacting folks yet. Otters usually don't start scouting until after the Ultimus.
