[div align=\\\"center\\\"]The Complete Player Rankings of NSFL Season 7[/div]

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Rankings, 100 – 76[/div]

100. L'Alto, V. - TE - BAL ----- 6.97040273201001
Verso L'Alto is the highest ranking rookie by annual value, and clearly deserved the rookie of the year award he won in S7. A crucial part of the number 3 passing attack in the league by efficiency, L'Alto was the third most valuable tight end in the league. He was a redzone menace - finding the end zone 8 times, while catching the ball 92 times for over 700 yards.

99. Law, C. - WR - NOLA ----- 6.97681078312591
The former tight end Charlie Law spent his first full season as only a wide receiver and it was a success. Catching balls from young quarterback Brokus Maximus, Law went for over 1000 yards however he was only able to reel in 3 touchdowns. As Maximus improves look for Law to be more of a force in the endzone in S8.

98. Broxton, J. - FS - NOLA ----- 6.99140791642539
Another former tight end, Jaylon Broxton spent his first season on the defensive side of the ball. Broxton was pretty good in coverage (4 passes defended, and 2 interceptions), however most of his value came from run defense and pass rushing. 96 tackles and a double digit sack total made this former second line and current otter a pro bowl contender.

97. Floggity, J. - FS - ARI ----- 7.014368381507
Jogn Floggity was great in coverage for the Arizona Outlaws in S7, and his biggest impact was his ability to score. In addition to his 14 passes defended, Floggity picked off the QB 3 times. He didn't impact the game in the pass rush or run defense really, but Floggity made this list because he returned two of those three interceptions for touchdowns.

96. Harris, S. - K - PHI ----- 7.07515744179601
Our first of two special teamers on the list, Stephen Harris had an outstanding kicking season, leading the league in Kicking Annual Value. Harris did not miss a field goal, going 42 for 42 including multiple longer than 50 yards. Harris was also a decent punter which just adds to his total value.

95. Morris, D. - FS - ARI ----- 7.08054166812499
Darren Morris of the Outlaws made this list by virtue of his versatility. Few players in the league were as good in pass coverage and pass rushing. Morris had 8 passes defended to go along with 2 interceptions. Additionally he had a double digit sack total, a forced fumble and a fumble recovered. Morris is the young quarterback of this aging Arizona defense and look for him to continue to shine.

94. Kyubee, S. - FS - BAL ----- 7.12126494616466
A former Quarterback Scrub Kyubee has been very solid since his S4 switch to safety. In spite of stats that were worse than Morris, Kyubee ranks higher to being on a better defense. Kyubee's stats were still solid with 9 sacks, 4 passes defended, and 2 interceptions.

93. Verns, D. - FS - NOLA ----- 7.19703756102613
Another versatile safety, Dominic Verns checks in here. The former Otter and current second line had a very good season as the free safety in the Second Line Defense. Verns was great in pass coverage getting 4 interceptions, and 13 passes defended to go along with his 5 sacks.

92. Dwyer, J. - LB - ARI ----- 7.27882057657727
In spite of a seemingly mediocre statistical season, Jack Dwyer wound up having a productive season by annual value. He finished third on the Arizona Outlaws in total tackles, and added some value with his stops behind the line of scrimmage, but Dwyer had no value in coverage - adding no passes deflected or interceptions.

91. Kane, M. - SS - YKW ----- 7.30461956653218
Yet another Versatile Safety, Marcus Kane brought value in a lot of different areas. Kane had 80 tackles for Yellowknife, and had a pair of sacks, interceptions and passes defended to go with a fumble forced and recovered. Kane was a very valuable member of a dominant Wraiths secondary.

90. Fletcher, G. - CB - BAL ----- 7.32472965891222
One of the best young corners in the league, Gregory Fletcher was great in S7. One of only three players with at least 17 passes defended and 5 interceptions Fletcher was one of the reasons the Hawks did a great job covering wide receivers. With Delacour on the other side of the field, the two make up one of the best CB tandems in the league.

89. Blewitt, I. - K - SJS ----- 7.3578682907032
The highest ranked pure special teams player, Iyeah Blewitt had a great season on both ends for the Sabercats. Blewitt was not the highest rated punter or kicker in the league, but rather was very good at both. Good enough to rank him above some very strong players.

88. Ramrio, M. - DT - ARI ----- 7.42053212762568
Mark Ramrio, the big Defensive Tackle out of Penn State, was pretty good for the Arizona Outlaws. He was able to eat blockers and get 6 sacks for the team, to go with his 42 tackles. His ability to make tackles and get to the QB placed him on the list.

87. Rainey, R. - RB - YKW ----- 7.42237970565937
Robby Rainey is one half of the best rushing tandem in the NSFL (you'll see his partner MUCH higher on the list), as the Wraiths finished with the best rushing attack in the league (by far). He had value added in both the run game, and passing game but most of his value came on the ground. Rainiey ran for 8 touchdowns and over 950 yards. As Akselsen regresses it'll be interesting to see how much more the Wraiths rely on their RB.

86. Sandoval, R. - DT - SJS ----- 7.43594220336655
Ricardo Sandoval started his career with such heights, its hard to believe that S7 was his last season in spite of being a few seasons away from regression. Sandoval had an outstanding 13 sacks (third in the league for DTs) and was good against the run with 45 tackles, Sandoval did very well in his final season. He was certainly a drifter in his career spending parts of his career on 4 different teams, but those Hawks years will certainly define his legacy in a positive light.

85. Carter, P. - CB - YKW ----- 7.52823036958929
Phillipe Carter, the mass retiree that wasn't, was part of that dominant Yellowknife secondary. Carter's value came from his ability to knock down balls as they were coming to wide receivers, finishing with 20 passes deflected. Carter also added two interceptions, and was able to convert one of them to a touchdown.

84. Hardrool, C. - FS - YKW ----- 7.60276730394166
Yet another member of the Wraiths secondary, Clee Hardrool was a pass rushing safety who performed very well in S7. In addition to decent coverage stats (2 picks and 2 passes defended), Hardrool added over 60 tackles and a double digit sack total. He'll hope to carry that success into a strong S8.

83. Chess, C. - WR - ARI ----- 7.74652278410857
A long time favorite of King Bronko, Charles Arthur Chess checks in here for the Outlaws. The Arizona WR number 2 had a very solid S7. Chess had almost 1000 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. The Outlaws were about league average in passing efficiency, and would've been lower if not for Chess.

82. Smallwood, D. - RB - SJS ----- 7.86223945662341
One of the more versatile players in the NSFL, Darren Smallwood is basically the Ty Montgomery of the NSFL. Smallwood actually added more value as a receiver than he did as a runner. He totaled about 1300 yards from scrimmage, and is replacing Ardie Savea in New Orleans. It'll be interesting to see how he does in the new location.

81. Savea, A. - RB - NOLA ----- 7.99777960893844
Speaking of Savea, the former running Running Back now Tight End was a very successful runner in S7. Savea lead all running backs in rushing touchdowns with 14 and ran for over 1000 yards. It'll be interesting to see how much his skills translate to tight end, since he was not that valuable of a pass catcher in S7.

80. Delacour, A. - CB - BAL ----- 8.05344337524881
The S6 defensive player of the year, Antoine Delacour had a bit of a down year relatively to his lofty, lofty standards. Delacour nonetheless was a star yet again in pass coverage in S7. Delacour had 5 interceptions to go with 18 passes defended. In addition to his pass coverage on defense, Delacour added to his value by adding a punt return touchdown on special teams. Now starting regression down in the face, Delacour is looking to add to his eventual HOF career.

79. Hackett, A. - LB - ARI ----- 8.10332414631346
Another player who has drifted in his career, Arizona linebacker AC Hackett had an extraordinarily successful S7 season. When you think versatility from the linebacker position, Hackett is one of the first that comes to mind. Hackett had 16 sacks, 6 tackles for a loss and 13 passes defended. All that together is an incredible statistical season.

78. Spector, M. - CB - OCO ----- 8.18221778332073
Twenty three passes defended. That's how many Marc Spector had in S7, good enough for second in the NSFL. Spector was part of an incredible Orange County Otters defense, that is having their first of many on this list. Spector had a solid tackle total, and added two interceptions, but his place on this list is based on those passes defended.

77. Ernston, H. - LB - ARI ----- 8.25147713150043
If you thought AC Hackett had a great year, then Harriff Ernston is also your style. The third Arizona linebacker to make the list, Ernston was even more versatile. He had 17 sacks and 16 passes defended to go with two forced fumbles and an interception. Ernston is the second highest Outlaw defender on this list.

76. Taylor, C. - SS - YKW ----- 8.27359971311298
That Yellowknife secondary strikes again with Cameron Taylor. He was incredible in S7 especially in rushing the passer. Taylor wound up with an outstanding 18 sacks to go with an interception and 6 passes defended. That interception was especially valuable however, as he was able to return it for a touchdown. Taylor was an S6 breakout player of the year candidate and he was even better in S7.

Hawks entire secondary basically ranked from 102 to 80. Interesting little tidbit.

Roughly where I expected to appear tbh. I imagine most defensive backs would rank relatively low on this kind of list due to the way the stats work for those positions.

But I don't fully understand this metric if I'm honest. I started reading and got lost lol

Basically how each defense does over the season is given a value. So BAL had about a league average defense. Based on the value the defense got, that number is divided among the players on the defense. So Delacour basically gets a piece of the Hawks defense pie based upon his stats. If Delacour and Jonathan King switched teams, put the same exact stats up, and the defenses performed exactly the same, Delacour would rise in these rankings and King would fall because OCO's defense was so good in S7.

I was expecting you to do a little better, but I get the logic. I imagine I'll be in the next wave thanks to low tackle numbers.

Tackle numbers actually don't effect DBs with the current formula. I believe the reasoning is that a tackle by a DB is happening quite far down the field and the player has probably already earned the first down. So it isn't as valuable as a shorter yardage stop that a DL or LB would produce on average.

I don't necessarily agree with this, but that is the logic behind it.

What I meant is that Cushing's tackle numbers being so low likely HELPED his case. Since we don't track yards allowed, tackles are the best indication of how many catches a CB gave up (though obviously a flawed one). However, if it is a formula, then I guess it didn't factor at all.

Basically Philly's D was better than Baltimores so with that + your extra passes deflected you were higher than Delacour.
