*tlk742 - GFX Head - tlk742 - 06-14-2018 Hey all, if you haven't heard- we changed how we're doing GFX, policy, pay the works. I want to take this time as your benevolent GFX Dictator Tyrant Head to answer questions you may have about the changes and scale. *tlk742 - GFX Head - speculadora - 06-14-2018 Does the new scale make graphics get graded faster because I'm poor *tlk742 - GFX Head - tlk742 - 06-14-2018 (06-14-2018, 04:45 PM)speculadora Wrote:Does the new scale make graphics get graded faster because I'm poorIdeally, yes. One big challenge we had was that with everything be graded on a specific day (sunday) made it so one grader really had the onus at any given time, by having an open window we essentially equalize pay with media while at the same time allow us as graders to not get overwhelmed by the work at hand. We may hire more graders in the future depending on workflow. *tlk742 - GFX Head - timeconsumer - 06-14-2018 Why do you hate Tim Pest? *tlk742 - GFX Head - adam2552 - 06-14-2018 How should graphics be posted now? One at a time, similar to how media is? Or if you have multiple that all relate do them all together? *tlk742 - GFX Head - Jepox - 06-14-2018 With the new scale, render work such as jersey changes are to be expected. What happens if a grader doesn't realize that render work has been done and they miss it? And what happens for people newer to graphics who may not know how to do render work and are held back in terms of grading by that? *tlk742 - GFX Head - adam2552 - 06-15-2018 The graphic pay scale seems be focused solely on grading sigs. What about other types of graphics that are intended to more closely match today's real life media sports related announcements? Example: ![]() I made that to announce the signing of a free agent, it isn't intended to be a sig, so there will be no render work, motion, etc. How would it be graded? *tlk742 - GFX Head - tlk742 - 06-15-2018 (06-14-2018, 09:14 PM)adam2552 Wrote:How should graphics be posted now? Don't agree with the grade? Let the grader know. I don't think I have to worry about anyone thinking their grade is too high and wanting payout decreased. what we may see is the bank team hating us as amendments happen but we are to have discussions about individual grades. *tlk742 - GFX Head - tlk742 - 06-15-2018 (06-15-2018, 09:56 AM)adam2552 Wrote:The graphic pay scale seems be focused solely on grading sigs. I think you can find exceptions for anything, but for the most part the submissions tend to be sigs. so let's address this piece, I honestly think it would be a special case because it is a Free Agent signing announcement and it would have to be something we do look at. That said, we are also looking to make all team logos in the NSFL original so we are trying and working out how to pay for stuff like that. |
