Interviewer: First off welcome to the Coyotes Kazimir, now if you don’t mind there are a few questions we’d like to ask. Kazimir: Sure, go right ahead. Interviewer: First off, we all know of your brother, the QB for the Liberty, Tyler Oles. Do you worry that you’re going to be in his shadow and always considered as his brother instead of your own player? Kazimir: I don’t have that worry at all, yes Tyler has been a great QB for the Liberty, he was a great CB and was able to make the switch flawlessly, but I’m my own player, I have my own skillset, and I will be the best player I can be. You can’t compare us because we’re much different people. Interviewer: Alright thanks, next question. How do you feel about joining the Coyotes, even temporarily with the DSFL’s system? Kazimir: I’m excited, this is a great group of guys and they look like serious contenders this season. Showbiz is also a solid QB who looks like he’s going to be a big name in a few years, and I have complete faith that in the time I am here we’ll combine for some good plays and I’ll be able to show the league what I’m capable of before the draft next season. Interviewer: Alright last question, are there any teams you’re looking at right now as teams you want to play for in the NSFL? Kazimir: I’ve heard great things about the Liberty from my brother, even with them looking at a rebuild. He has told me they’re a great organization and I trust him. The Otters are obviously a great team and they’d be a fantastic option if they weren’t stacked on WR right now, but that could always change. Second Line also look like a team on the rise and it’d be fun to go there and catch some passes from Maximus. Realistically I don’t care where I go, I just want to start setting records. Did I make another game winning kick today? Why are you all here? "We just decided to mix it up today! Tell us your thoughts on the magical season you guys have been having!" Well you put it perfectly, it really feels magical. I didn't really expect more than 2 or 3 wins this year - to beat Baltimore and also steal a win in Orange County have been huge for the morale and confidence of the team. All of a sudden, we're one game out of a playoff berth, and the guys are feeling like we can sneak our way in! Personally, I think we can make it, but we're really going to have to earn it. Yellowknife is a really good team, and their recent blowout loss to the Outlaws really is a credit to how good the Outlaws are more than how bad the Wraiths are. Even if we lose the last four games though, this locker room is going to be overjoyed about how we performed this year, and even more excited for next season. 195 (S8) - Weekend PT 4 - Media Day - dub - 06-15-2018 ![]() (S8) - Weekend PT 4 - Media Day - GoonerBear - 06-15-2018 Thank you all for coming. Unlike one Mr. Lynch, I do want to actually talk with substance and honor your time. Our season started rough, both in starting 1-3 and personally. There was some behind-the-scenes dispute as I had expected to start and did not the first three weeks. We have since put that behind us and looked ahead to focus on our playoff push as the final four weeks are upon us. I think since then, we have really pulled it together in the middle of our schedule and we're looking for a strong finish. We've been 5-1 since. If you absolutely need a win right now against us to make playoffs, get on your knees and pray to all the saints you can remember. In our past two games, especially, we've had ice water in our veins as the pressure turned up. Beat Meoff was composed as he could be both of those games as he stepped up and delivered what would hold as the game-winning field goals in the final minute. I was more terrified when we almost gave away a touchdown on the very last play of each game. We've really solidified our defense, though, and I firmly believe we're the best in the DSFL on that side of the ball. To borrow from a favorite writing personality of mine, Mr. Gregg Easterbrook, "Defense starts rallies. Offense stops them." My teammates on defense have been amazing, and as evidenced from our past two games, we've come together strong to open that window for the offense to come from behind. Chin's all over the trenches, Hendrix, Miles and D'Attoria form a solid no-fly zone, Garrett and Spikes have been wonderful to work alongside as linebackers. There's no other unit in the DSFL I'd rather be part of right now. The offense has been good in their own right. Showbiz has held his own pretty well as a rookie quarterback in this league. Strike and Speedy have been great taking a lot of offensive touches in tandem in the meantime while he transitions. Valentine and Ball have been very patient with Showbiz and work with him week in and week out. And Meoff at least has more moments of greatness than not. All in all, I feel great about this team and our chances to contend for the Ultimini. (S8) - Weekend PT 4 - Media Day - Leafs4ever - 06-15-2018 Hey, everyone. Thanks for coming out to our media availability. First off, I'd like to start with just talking about how the season is going, both as a team and individually. I'm sure that will answer most of the questions you have anyway. As a team, I think we've had a good first half to the season. We're 6-4 right now and in a playoff spot so that's good. A couple of our losses could of been wins if we just cleaned up a bit of our play. Consistency hasn't quite been there yet, but we're a young group which explains that. We're getting better and better every game and come playoff time, I'm sure we'll be gelled enough to make a serious run at the championship. As for my individual performance, I'm happy with it. In my first game, I got the record for most catches in a DSFL game with 10. It was a great way to get myself introduced into the league. I've held steady the rest of the way with a lot of catches, 61, and a lot of yards, 824. I'm appreciative of my coaches for game planning to get me involved and for my quarterbacks for trusting me to catch the ball whenever they throw it to me. I wouldn't be finding success if it wasn't for them. The only disappointing thing for me so far is lack of touchdowns. I've only gotten 2 on the season so I need to do a better job of getting into the end zone. We've got 6 games left and I'm very excited to continue this season and watch our team get better and better. The Luchadores are fighting and we're going to be a tough out for any team that comes our way. (297 words) (S8) - Weekend PT 4 - Media Day - Alfredo_Pasta - 06-15-2018 Hello all, i am here to talk about the media. And what I am currently saying to the media. So right now and basically all the time I just talk to our team media never the Network or anything. I am not that special. But there's a few things I say about this point in the season. I say that I'm excited that we're eight and two on the season up to this point. I'm excited about possibly getting to the play offs and even possibly getting home field advantage. That would be pretty nice. And another thing that they like to bring up is my lack of a season. I don't have any stats at all currently. I really wish I did not have to go over this stuff but I do. I tell them of course I'm frustrated. I had a one thousand yard season last year and through ten weeks I don't have almost quarter of that. So I am frustrated but I can't do anything to control it. Even if you're just people running the students radio at Columbia U, I appreciate your presence... Okay, I'm not going to lie, it's pretty disappointing that you're the only people who showed up. Anyway, you all have no imagination so you asked about the same kinds of things. Let's discuss the team I'd like to play for the most. Well, I can't say I know a lot about any of them. And most of their websites are not useful and not updated. All I can say is, with my limited knowledge, the Kansas City Coyotes give the best first impression. They have stable leadership and who wouldn't like to play in a purple uniform? The other team that got my attention was the Tijuana Luchadores. It's fun to see a team south of the border, and I find their branding to be the most interesting and original. I'm outta here now. (S8) - Weekend PT 4 - Media Day - dropbear - 06-16-2018 The Colorado media is abuzz with stories about their hometown team the Yeti, because after two straight winless seasons we’ve come out and won 5 games from our first 10. Naturally, they want to speak to the players who are finally getting to taste some success. Miller is often asked what is so different about this season, and it’s pretty simple. Experience. The guys we have are growing, and getting better every day. We’ve always one of the strongest, if not the strongest, locker rooms in the league, so it was just a matter of time before the great character guys we had also developed the skills necessary to compete. Now we’ve got the culture and we’ve got the talent, too, so other teams are on notice. This isn’t the Yeti of old; this team is no longer the laughing stock of the league, and we’re coming for the Ultimus. |
